This doesn't answer your question as I am a Christian but I was listening to a man who is now a Christian, was formerly a Muslim, and he said that in Islam, you have no guarantee of achieving heaven, it is the good scale against the bad scale and you have to have at least 51% good to make it, so they will never know until the end and so if they want a sure guarantee, martyrdom is either the only way or one of the major ways in order to achieve it. Very sad, especially, when as a Christian, we have a Savior who did it all for us and we don't have to worry and worry or strive all the time - we can know now that we have eternal life. He paid the price that God required. Isn't that great.
