I heard a friend of maine telling things about Africa that I found to be stupid and insulting. for example, people living in africa do not have cultures and they walk around naked and are not smart which is a totally false.

He has never been to Africa but he claims to know every thing about Africans. As a Nigerian I found it to be crazy. I have never been to Asia or have ever lived in Europe or Asia but I would never say any thing about them that I am not sure if it is correct or claim to know every thing about them and their culture. Most Americans or people in the west believe every thing they read or see on the media but forgot that those are someone's opinion and things changed.

I constantly hear the same argument against evolution based on "scientific" finding. Almost all of the information questioning evolution is at least a decade old and most is 20 or 30 years old. It wasn't valid then and it isn't valid now. I have read a lot of the "scientific" arguments against evolution and I have found that ALL of them have been debunked. They have been proven to be incorrect not by one scientist but many. Either the data is flawed or the information has been misinterpreted.
Science is constantly changing it is dynamic and open to contrary opinion, but when something is proven to be incorrect creationist continue to site it as fact.
As for Intelligent design:
An overwhelming majority of the scientific community views intelligent design as unscientific, as pseudoscience of as junk science.

I notice for a black women to be a leading lady in hollywood she has to be light or near white. The only time you see darked skinned black women they are the fat friend, hyper-sexual, or some sort of comic relief. Even when the leading man is black, the lady is puerto rican or bi-racial (will smith, denzel movies). The only place you see darked skinned black women is in rap videos and mostly those are *** and tit shots. Also do you notice on network tv, you can have to black parents and the daughter will be bi-racial? (my wife and kids, the cosby show, ect) There are some exceptions to this but very few.

Every time someone here mentions the old testament, a chorus of answerers respond that Jesus overturned OT law. (But when I asked the obvious question why not delete it from the bible, not one Christian agreed).

But when did this notion take hold? Christians were still routinely burning witches until the 1600's. When I last attended church services and sunday school 40 years ago we were taught there were 10 commandments, not 6, or 3, or 2 or 1.

Is the notion just a convenient myth to get Christians here out of difficulty? Or is it the belief of one sect that is influential on YA. Or is it some more widespread, recent craze?
