It is important to be in full communion with Christ. The Catholic Church is the one, holy and apostolic Church, instituted in the upper room by Christ himself at the first communion. As the Church, we are members of the body of Christ. All other Christian denominations have broken away from their communion with the Church, in essence breaking away from His body.

Based on the wording of your question, it isn't. What is truly the most important thing is to do your absolute best to be a good person and live your life as such.
For me personally, being Catholic is important to me on a number of levels. This is the religion in which I was raised and while I have done study on other Christian denominations and religions, this is where I feel that "click" deep in my soul. The Catholic Church gives me a community, a set of core beliefs (not talking church law here), and chances to worship that help me stay in touch with God and help me try to be a good person.

The Catholic Church is the only church that has the direct authority handed down from Jesus, to Peter, and on to our Pope.
It also has the tradition that Jesus set up here on earth 300 years even before the Bible.
Because the Catholic Church does not change with the direction of the wind, like God does not change either.
We are to follow and worship the one true God, not find a church that just makes me "feel good".
Being Catholic is not easy, but well worth the effort!
That is why I changed from being a Protestant to being a Catholic.
There are lots of good Protestant people out there though!
and because:
An eternity is a terrible thing to waste!
Peace!

The Catholic Church is the One, True, Holy, and Apostolic Church that was founded by Jesus Christ Himself. It is the only Christian denomination that boasts the Fullness of the Truth.

it's not. the only thing that is important is that you accept the salvation if jesus, and believe in him. most denominations have just added their own bias to the true message of the bible. just remember that denominations were a product of men. a relationship with god is initiated by him.
