I'm a Catholic from the Philippines....

does the Q'ran really states the ff?

"Husbands may beat their wives."

"Do not make friends with Christians and Jews."

I didn't read the Q'ran but I saw these statements in a website....
and I don't hate muslims but I just want to know if these were true...because it seems so brutal...ONLY MUSLIMS can answer these please.

It is tradition for a woman to wear a white dress on her wedding night to show her purity. Which means she was a virgin. If a woman is not a virgin, but came to the Lord and repented, vowed sexual purity until marriage, would you think it to be right or wrong for her to wear a white dress to her wedding?

Ok say you and your family are in a church on your sunday mass and the minister is given a surmon. Suddenly a man with a gun walks in the door and says "If you are willing to die for Christ stay if your not willing to then you may go home." This isnt like a prank the guy is legit going to shoot you if you stay. Also parents would you let your children stay in a scenario like this. Parents please let me know that your answering the second part of my question by putting a * next to your answer.

Why have the GOOD Muslims, and I believe there are plenty of them, not done anything, spoken out against, protested against, had a big picture parade about the radical Muslim extremists that are defacing Islam threatening to kill Americans, and wipe Isreal off the face of the earth? Where are the GOOD Imams and Ayatolahs (sp?) preaching peace and restraint? Why is no one issuing edicts to stop the terror attacks in Iraq and Ireal? WHY WHY WHY?

how do you feel about it? i personally feel its brain washing. just the previews are pretty disturbing. and to listen to the lady speak about other religions and how and what they are teaching their kids-is sad-apparently many "teachers" are still very much misinformed.

Not to be mean. Does anyone find the Southern accent a dumbed down accent? When someone speaks with a Southern accent, they really "sound" stupid to me. I don't know why, I automatically think "dumb" when I hear a Southern person talk. Does anybody else feel this way? I feel terrible for it, but I can't help it.

Even if you don't believe in the current religions. What started it all. Evolution the Big Bang they don't explain how life actually started from no life. Most Scientists themselves believe in a form of God. Why does anyone not believe.

Does God really have to fulfill all your desires the creation of life is not enough.
Does God really have to reward you after you die.
Does God have to show him self.
Heres a thought maybe he gave up his godhood when he created life. At least you could start with the big bang theory and still use evolution. Any Thoughts?
