It is tradition for a woman to wear a white dress on her wedding night to show her purity. Which means she was a virgin. If a woman is not a virgin, but came to the Lord and repented, vowed sexual purity until marriage, would you think it to be right or wrong for her to wear a white dress to her wedding?

Do you think that by her wearing an off white dress she would be showing the world that she wasnt a virgin?

it depends on the cultural background of the bride. while white or off white is the color of choice for american christians (to signify purity) other colors are used in different cultures. in some cultures the color white signifies death not purity..which I find quite appropriate in some instances hahaha in some asian cultures red is the preferred color of a wedding dress.

Its a little iffy, but I would have to ask if the woman feels pure. If she feels as though she has worked it out with God, and feels she is in a state of purity, then I think it would be ok. If the woman feels questionable about her stance with it, maybe it is an indication that she should be going more of the ivory direction. That is between that woman and God. It's no one else's business.
If you want to look at it from a truly fashionable standpoint which you could do, since I don't think that their is a single bible verse dictating wedding dress colors, and seeing that the tradition was created by society, She could go with what looks best on her complexion...winter/summers look better in white, spring/falls look better in ivory.

I think she should wear a used, slightly off-white dress from the early nineties. One with a very big bow at the back and puffy sleeves and available right now on eBay for only $1050. Go and repent.

The tradition of wearing white, at least in western countries, was connected to the woman's purity. But it no longer symbolizes that.

I would like to see wedding dresses in many different colours. If you're going to get married in the sping wear spring colours, if the wedding is in the summer war summer colours, if it's going to be held in the winter wear winter colours.
There are lots of beautiful colours that can be added to white if you also want a white wedding.

I guess it depends on how much you are spending on the wedding...I have heard of choosing the dress to match the decor, ect...if you spend enough, you can get a wedding coordinator to tell you anything!
Seriously......don't worry about outward perceptions and everyone else's opinion. Marry for love, act from the heat and you will be fine. 10 years and several kids after the wedding, the color of your dress won't matter anymore

Yes it is ok to wear white. You have repented of your sins and God has wiped the slate clean. You are making an ongoing decision to remain pure from "now on" and God honours that dedication and respect for his word. We call it secondary virginity. Wear white and wear it proudly. You are washed clean in Jesus.
