Sorry about his passing, See, because of everything else he incorrectly stated, I can't bring myself to believe that he's quoting the 1888 Enoch text accurately, or if he's translating it himself, manipulating the words to fit what he believes.

Sorry, I'm Mormon, and I do respect Nibley's great efforts, but I draw the line at dishonest scholarship, which is what this appears to be. Is Nibley scholarly? A question posed on alt.religion.momon

I've read some of his stuff "Temple and Cosmos" and "Approaching Zion" for example....

Approaching Zion was a shock to my system! In a good way! but very very powerful!!!
I liked it especially because it has made me WANT to seek knowledge! (as like a primary good, or a good "of first intent" as he would say)

it also shocked me in my views of money for many years...
one of my favorite books!
