I was driving to work this cool morning, and drove by the ocean. The sun was coming up, and the sunrise was so beautiful. There were pinks, blues, purples, and oranges. I thought to myself, this would be a waste if it was all by accident.

i cannot get ANY kind of job, and i mean that. most people seem to think that it means i am not trying. they say, just get some shitty boring job. the point is that i can't even get those. i have tried. nobody wants me. the way i was brought up was to be polite, unassuming, gentle. even to answer a phone they want a **** who can yell really loudly about himself and has ambition. essentially, someone who i would probably hate. so the question is: should i keep trying? or just run away and hide? and why should i have to change, if indeed i can, or should? to be honest, this is becoming more of a rhetorical question.
what if you do not fit in with society, at all, through no fault of your own?

Doesn't that just exemplify what the rich care about, sports! Big money will always be given to have the best in sports but never enough to keep people out of poverty.
I don't hate sports, just noticing the imbalance here.
What are others thinking about this? Do we need to change our priorities?

Who gets to decide when God's original written law has surpassed it's usefulness in the given time period?

Being raised in a very strict Christan home, and denomination, I was often confused about what I was taught. Like Deut 22:5 Abomination to wear slacks for women. But if you follow pieces of the law, shouldn't you obey them all? If Jesus fulfilled the law and we aren't bound by it any longer like they teach, then why pick out several pet verses from the law, and make them your doctrine? And there are more scriptures that they would pick one verse out of to preach, and their interpretation was totally out of context with the rest of the chapter like the one for not wearing jewelry they quoted I Peter 3:3-4, but when read with the rest of the chapter it means you are to treat your husband well. When you point these things out, they say you have to take it on faith, or you aren't saved. Or you are rebellious and don't want to follow the Bible. I resolved for myself to follow the actual Scripture, but wonder how my family and old friends can be so decieved.

What would he tell us of God , Of Allah, what would his vision of God be.
When, his foundation, being lay'd by his father Abraham, ishmaels corner stone,( over his first 16 years) -- had been absolutely shattered when he was cast out of his fathers
house and sent away with his mother Haggar. Wouldnt that destroy your ability and desire to believe in the same God as your Father. Him being attacked by all mannor of despare, been abandoned by his father, his corner stone, his blessing, and cast out, what a terrible pain that must be; seen in countlas sons around the world today in the same situation in there broken family lives.
My son is one and l feel his pain . l under stand his empty ness, his anguish, His spiritual dislocation from his loving father, the blessing of Abraham.
How can he believe in my god when l have "abandened" him.
How can l believe in my fathers blessing when he has abandened me ?"I could not.- Believe in God YES , but not as my father, whom has cast me out!

There have been blatant examples dealing with rape, slavery, God-promoted killing, and so on from the Old Testament and every time the answer is the same. "That's the Old Testament, we are now in the New Testament." Should we completely throw out the Old Testament then if you don't agree with what it says? Try not to be hypocritical for once in your life and realize that not everything that's said in the bible is healthy to believe in.

"For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh"

I mean doesn't that pretty much say it? So why do christians always preach family values when their own scripture discourages close extended family? Does the bible consider only your spouse and children (while their young) important but not your other family members, such as parents, siblings, aunt, uncles, nephews, neices, etc..

I am well aware of the verses that warn about false prophets, but if Muhammad was seen in the Bible as a Prophet, how can he be a false prophet? (hope i'm clear)
And if the Quraan has similar events like in the Torah and bible isn't it more believable as the Quraan is still in it's original form and it "verifies" the what actually happened. It hasn't been changed and God himself promised to safeguard it from corruption.

What do you think?
