What numeric values are YOU applying to the letters J-E-S-U-S; forward, backward or take your pick. There are 26 letters in the English alphabet and 5 letters in Jesus. Even if you apply the value of 26 (Z being the 26th letter) to every letter you get....wait for...130.
That seems to put your bogus idea about Jesus and your "living dead, a creature of the night" fantasy short by 536 numerical points. Let me show you that quick math...
# of letters in Jesus 5 x
# of letters in alphabet 26 =
130
666 - 130 = 536
Hey maybe you're using base 4 or some made up math of your own. But trust you 2nd grade math. Put the letters JESUS in any position you like but there is no possible (mathematically legitimate) way to make 5 x 26 equal more than 130.
Show us your math. How did you reach 666 with the information you provide in your question?
Awaiting your mathematical reply.
By the way...what is with this creature of the night stuff?
Thanks.....

How does one determine the value of these letters? Is it that A is 1, B is 2, etc?
If so, then Jesus, J=10, E=5, S=19, U=21, would be 10+5+19+21+19=74. Now that's forwards with the spelling, however in addition it doesn't matter what order it's in. 1+2=3 just as 2+1=3. Even so, 74 does not equal 666. Try again.
Oh, and Jesus did exist--check out Josephus, a historian of Jesus' time that records his existance and influence. Josephus was NOT one of Jesus' followers.

Forward or backward, the number value should be the same.
Don't have any paper handy or pen. But if you're not just pulling our legs. Evil does everything in the reverse of good. Therefore,
if Jesus backwards is 666. Than Jesus forward wuld symbolize
GOOD.

I hate to tell you this, but you must have missed that day in first grade when they taught addition. Numbers, either backward or forward, add up to the same total.
And in which language do you want to spell his name? I guess you think that the whole world has always spoken King James English?
I'm an atheist, but if you're one too, you sure make us look stupid.
Regardless, there was no real historical Jesus, or at least there is no solid evidence that he ever existed.

well, if you want the truth, the ancients did not think of numbers that way. the 666 translates to Nero Cesar who happens to be the first roman emperor to persecute Christians. he would impale them in the butt and the use the dead or dying Christians as party decorations. at night he would light the on fire to provide light for the party. disgusting.
and jesus did exist, but he wasnt the son of god for god doesnt exist.

I suppose I could take most names and re-arrange the letters and get that number. I think though when John penned Revelation that he knew the actual name, and the person represented at that time figured to that number.

I KNOW! And if you change the Je to 6, and the su to 6 and then the last S to 6...you get 666, too! OMG!

Why is it that you appear to have way to much time on your hands? I find that ridiculous to say the least. Let me guess, if you play Jesus loves me backwards you can actually here pigs sqealing at the slaughter?
