just read a xtian comment that the bible says the world is flat and has 4 corners ....but nothing ridiculous like the world being on top of an elephant!
Yes, i do believe the bible to be very scietific now and not at all "mythical" like the eastern religions! lol

Modern Christians intrepret much of the crazy stuff in the Bible as allegory, but when it comes to non-Christian sacred texts, they still insist on interpreting them literally. Go figure.

each Culture and Society have their own way to interpret and explain the earth, nature, sky, heavenly bodies, natural phenomena, etc. etc. if each of us look at how our ancient ancestors cultures and societies viewed these seriously doubt they would know more than any other culture and society. after all mankind has supposed to have advanced much in science and understanding since ancient times.
