We gave them a hundred dollars in thier gift envelope. When we got there, we had no place to sit (it was a packed house). We didn't get to eat dinner because of this so we went up to the bar to get drinks. They had cheap whiskey, cheap vodka, and some other cheap liquer for mixed drinks. And then bush light beer. Wouldn't you feel annoyed pretty much paying one hundred dollars for shitty drinks and a dinner you never got to eat?

It seems that people tend to lean towards the negativity of people than the positive and outstanding qualities of an individual.

People are so quick to lump an individual into a group, and to add insult to injury, they point out only the negative aspects of that group.

Why are people more drawn to the negative than the positive?

Why is it that you always hear about the bad things and never hear about the good?

i have had a friend for 10 years. we were casual friends.
we used to work together 7 yrs ago. she was good at her job but yet sick with back problems alot.
years later she is well of back problems and had just got over bad nerves(almost a breakdown) some one had scammed her for money via internet(cosby adams!) watch him.
anyway, she was at home sad , so i offered her a job w/me.
iam one of the managers at a fast food chain.
she is friendly but moves alot slower. she is good at stocking, cleaning etc., but constantly needs back up, even at times that most others could handle low volume.(5 guests!) ive noticed that she now tells little fibs to suit her own purposes. ive confronted her, she always says she isnt lying.
the only lies she has admitted to me was how she lied at first about this romance/internet scammer. but we have aggued on ims lately, i dont want to work with her anymore, other managers see her slowness and she cahts way too much w/customers slowing times. advice?

their faith to survive? Christianity has been attacked for hundreds of years in one way or another and survived completely. In fact Muhammad was a warrior yielding sword and murder to instil a faith he considered superior. Christ persuaded PEOPLE by LOVE, not mayhem and FIRE like Muhammad.
There is no doubt about the Muslim faith being vengeful and full of flaws. I have read the Koran from cover to cover AND I passionately believe in God. but the Koran has an awful lot to learn about love and forgiveness. The Muslims' God is a vengeful God who will perpetrate all kinds of agonies and fire if you do not obey. What a load of codswallop!

"Having resolved what ought to be resolved,
hold on to it till you have succeeded.
Having desired what ought to be desired,
hold on to it till your desire is fulfilled.
Having asked what ought to be asked,
hold on to it till you get it.
Having thought what ought to be thought,
hold on to it till you have succeeded.
The Lord with mellowed heart must yield to your wishes.
Persevere, be tenacious, and never give up,
for it is the quality of a devotee never to retreat or relent in resolve. "

Its Q.T (Quote Time), Any opinion leaders?

This day is supose to represent the last of the first 7 days of creation when God rested? I know the Sabbath Day was originally said to be given to the Jewish tribe from God and was Friday at dusk, until Saturday at dusk in relation to our current calendars. If you read the Holy Bible, you find that Jesus obeyed this Sabbath even in his death!!! He died just before sundown on Friday and there is special mention of it in a few places of the text. He than rested the whole Sabbath and returned on Sunday. Don't you Christians feel that people of your churches history have messed with this holy day among many other things that are far from what Jesus told people to do? He said that he was not here to change the Jewish scriptures of the past, but only to help fulfill them! Do any of you think the whole religion of Christianity could be a twisted version of the truth which has been used only to manipulate people? Isaac Newton seemed to think so!

Do you hover over the toilet and spray all over it or do you sit down? If you hover, do you at least clean up after yourself? It seems every public toilet I go in looks like it's been rained on.

Nobody wants to clean other people's pee. As for germs, there aren't as many germs on a toilet seat as you think. And they sell purse packs of liners if you don't wanna sit.

This is for my religion class and I need opinion. Should Communism be a religion? Ok. Most people say that it is more of a politic issue but what other factors can there be? Like I am a buddhist and its ideology says that there is life after death which is a strong belief by some people. On the other hand, Communism has also a strong faith such as "all human have to be equal". Soo why wouldn't be a religion as well? But what differentiate is that what eveidence proves that there is really life after death? As for Communism, it is something that we can experience and get to feel what it is really about....soo what u people think? thx alot
