It seems that people tend to lean towards the negativity of people than the positive and outstanding qualities of an individual.

People are so quick to lump an individual into a group, and to add insult to injury, they point out only the negative aspects of that group.

Why are people more drawn to the negative than the positive?

Why is it that you always hear about the bad things and never hear about the good?

The positive things don't hurt anyone....they make people feel good.

The people who perpetuate the negative get a "buzz" from hurting others.

I believe when you think in negatives you have a self-esteem problem.

The question is valuable for a different reason. This negativity is also the reason for finding all the faults in oneself. Those same negatives allow the mind to concentrate on the "I" and become responsible for all of the emotional problems which show up, when unable to get those negatives stopped. Depression and despondency being the result, when the individual is unable to get them stopped. Thus allowing a complete picture of allowing that particular destructive power to rule ones life.

The directing of this attitude toward others allows a hoped for reduction of the guilt one has placed on themselves, for giving their own power away. Becomes a viscious circle. With no visible way out.

It is easier to be negative than to be positive. I think it is human nature for some people, to tell you the truth. It takes more facial muscles to smile than it does to frown.

People who are negative about themselves find it cool to be negative toward others and love to spread the poison on top of that!!

I find it funny that some people can hear 10 positive things about themselves (hair is nice, outfit is cute, etc) and ONE person comes along says one negative thing about their hair, outfit, etc . . . . WELL, THAT IS ALL THEY HEARD AND ALL OF THE POSITIVE COMMENTS WENT RIGHT OUT THE WINDOW!!

NOW ISN'T THAT JUST CRAZY???!!

Be a positive person yourself because if you try to figure people out, you will be CRAZY !! Leave it alone . . . . some things are not worth it. :-)

The stereotype thingies are some times right.

I have this friend, who is from a comunity known for its stinginess ( they are supposed to be money lenders sort of thing),

And like this guy used to ask me the time evry eveningwith an alarm clock in hand. I asked him one day, " Why the heck do you have to ask me the time every evening? This is a battery clock, not one of those mechanical ones with coils you have to wind?"

He said, that he removed the battery every morning when he went to the college, cos it would be a waste for the clock to show time when no one is there in his room to see it!!!

After that, I don't take these stereotypes to be false at the face value. There are some lessons that you learn at your mother's knee, or valuable advice passed down from father to son, and the parents usually affect their children in such a way as to influence them into acting like them.

Exploitation of racially stigmatized labour. What you pronounced is real. The stereotypes make certain that Black women individuals, even nevertheless being the fairly some toughest working human beings in this u . s . will gets a commission much less then their racial and gender opposite numbers. extra funds flows back as much as the proper. that's the function that racism serves. regrettably for Black women individuals, you get the quick end of two straws; being Black in this u . s ., being a woman, in this u . s ., then the section the place those 2 issues intersect to create racialized sexism.

Misery likes company. Those that do not think positively dwell on the negative and take delight in seeing others with problems.

It makes them feel good and superior......it's easier but it's also something that's reinforced in society. Watch the news any day or time and for the most part all they report on are negative things.......

To me, it makes most folks feel good when they hear bad things about a group of folks(whether it's by race, gender, or sexual orientation). Apparently their not comfortable in the skin that their in, so they have to piss on someone else's parade.
