Communism is a political philosophy. It is not faith based as are all other religions on this planet. Consequently, Communism cannot be a religion.
Pure philosophical thought is in the pursuit of truth.
Religion is the truth for it's followers.
Communism and Capitalism are economic political constructs.

Communism is a religion.
You give everything up to the people through the state (God)
God (the state) owns all and provides for the common good
You call each other "commrades" (Christians use the term Brothers and sisters).
YOu are selfless. You serve the state as the state requires.
The state takes care of you.
You put noting else (no other God) above the state.
You are entrusting yourself and the common good to the supervision of the proleteriat (Presbus or Elders or College of Cardinals).
Your reward for successfully doing all this is a utopia in which there is no need for rule or the proletariot and everything is freely available and there is pleanty for all and the work load is minimal.
God, Staints, Elders, Selflessness, Unity, Eden.
It's a religion.
Capitalism is not. It's founded on supply and demand. What are people demanding that there is limited supply of and can you provide it, provide it cheaply enough to sell it in quantity and make bags full of money so you can live like a king. The rules don't matter, there are not rules. IF sometime makes rules, bend them, avoid them, go around them, just don't get caught being a total criminal. Make bags fully of money, sell your company to the highest bidder once you feel the rules are getting too rough or the demand is starting to waine. Then take go start another business, preferrably on other peoples money.
No ethics, no morals, no good will, no thinking of the other fellow (except to get their money or catering to their needs for your own gain).
Absotutely no relgion here in the capitalist world!

communism is political not a religion. the philosophy of communism states all are equal and works fine on paper. however there are three major ways to gain control in a society -- religion -- political -- military. if you study communism there are those in control who always seem to have more than their followers and those citizens who try to practice their free will are conveniently prevented from doing so. when our agenda is completed on this plane of existence the physical container returns to the place whence it came freeing the soul and spirit to journey to another plane of existence.

Communism is not a religion. It is defined as an economic system. It is conceivably possible to have a religion that demands communism among its followers, but communism in itself is not and cannot be a religion.

Communism is considered to be equated with an atheistic culture. They condemned and incarcerated those who practiced any faith in a higher being. Any religion practiced in their country has to do so as an underground activity. The only exception to that practice seems to be in Latin America
