And you don't know the name of the person it is next to.

Is it ok to pull the table cloth slowly and steadily until the bread is in front of you, hoping no one notices, or should you be more direct and lightly toss small chicken bones and other objects to get the host's attention?

I was looking at an adult movie and there was a generic one that said "compare to 'butt bandits' movie". Should I get the generic movie or the name brand one?

I wanna know what you think, but as for me...

I like:
-TEXAS: Like a "Lone Star" in terms of its hospitality and generosity.
-Oklahoma: Lot like Texas
-Tennessee: Laid-back, mellow
-North Carolina: Much like Tennessee outside of the cities
-South Carolina: Old South charm, Charleston is nice tourist attraction
-Mississippi: Old South charm, sweet people
-Louisiana: Food, culture, that down home feeling
-Alabama: Much like Mississippi
-Georgia: Just as long as you avoid ATL

I can do without:
-Kentucky: Might as well be Ohio. Bad drivers, very unwelcoming to outsiders, snooty women...and I'm from there!
-West Virginia: There's nothing there!
-Virginia: like New York/New Jersey south
-Florida: like New York/New Jersey south-south
-Arkansas: had several bad service industry-related experiences in this state. Plus it elected BJ to four terms as Governor.

This is my opinion based on life experience. Every state has its good and bad points, though!

I'm not sure whether or not my boyfriend is legal. I know his brother is, but I'm not sure if he is. Would it be rude to ask? I don't want to offend him.

*Note: This is not an immigration debate, so please keep comments like that to yourself. Please just answer the question asked. Thank you.

seems to me they seek for a sign to fulfill the scriptures

Mark 8:12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

This is not meant to be racist & I'm sorry if anyone interprets it that way. I am a biology major and I'm fascinated by people's migration & the effect of the sun on different races, how people have adapted to different weather conditions, etc. & considering writing my thesis on this. Also my girlfriend is Jewish!

I'm wondering if the reason why so many American and other Jews have very light skin that doesn't look very Middle Eastern or Mediterranean at all is because their DNA is overwhelmingly European, perhaps Eastern European or Russian?

Or do some people in the Middle East naturally have fair skin (for example if the Jews had never left the Middle East).

Why are Believers CONSTANTLY complaining that we pick on them when I have never seen anything but Believers picking on other people?! Why must they whine about that? I get reminded of elementary school; "THAT THAT BACK!!"

Are they unsure about their beliefs that they can't take the heat? (lol pardon the pun) They are taught to accept others for who they are - and personally I have found WAAAY more nonbelievers act nicer to one another than I have believers.

Quit your complaining and PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH

Agree or disagree

Now i don't know what to do b/c i really love her and want to support her but i don't trust her now and i hate my brother and if i stayed with her i would have to bring up my brothers baby which i will find impossible to do. What do you think i should do?

...exhibit the same about of skepticism or use the same critical thinking skills towards your religious beliefs as you do towards every other aspect of your life? You wouldn't "take it on faith" when I tell you there's an invisible dragon in my garage that's going to eat up all the bad kids in my neighborhood, would you? You wouldn't just loan your life savings to a stranger without some sort of collateral or a signed contract with terms for paying the money back, would you? You wouldn't just accept that there's a magical unicorn who's going to bring you good luck if only give ME some money to buy him some apples to eat, would you? Then why are you so convinced a god you've never seen is going to burn you forever in a place on no map that no one's ever been to if you don't listen to his son, whom no contemporary historian had ever made mention of and about whom he have no firsthand knowledge -- only hearsay accounts from dubious sources?

Since Bush declared a Crusade war 5 years ago and no month passes by without a physical or a verbal attacks on Islam and Muslims. Yes the terrorists who committed 9/11,7/7 and Madrid were Muslims, but most Muslims were against what happened. We never hear any Muslim scholar insulting Christianity or Jesus. What the Pope said this week has created anger throughout the Muslim world. The worry is what he said might trigger more violence from extreemists and the western media will find more materials to attack Muslims. When UK occupied half the world no body said that Christians were terrorists, USA and Israel are commiting war crimes in Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon and no one said anything about Christianity or Judism. Why the western media when they talk about violence in the middle east or any Muslim country they link it to the religion? Do you think that what he said and its time was necessary at all?

If Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the existance of hell then why do they knock on our doors recruiting members? I thought their goal was atleast to try to save people from damnation, but now I guess it's all about the numbers!
PS:
This assumption is in response to Rachel's earlier answer to the "committing suicide & hell" question:
... Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the existance of hell, we do not believe a Loving Father would condemn his creatures to such a place, especially if the sin the commited was due to a mental illness. If you are having suicidal thoughts please seek help, from a qualified source.
