Why are Believers CONSTANTLY complaining that we pick on them when I have never seen anything but Believers picking on other people?! Why must they whine about that? I get reminded of elementary school; "THAT THAT BACK!!"
Are they unsure about their beliefs that they can't take the heat? (lol pardon the pun) They are taught to accept others for who they are - and personally I have found WAAAY more nonbelievers act nicer to one another than I have believers.
Quit your complaining and PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH

The difference with what I'm doing is not complaining - I'm asking why they can't take the heat

Agree. It seems to go like this:
"You're going to hell!"
"Please don't say that, it's hurtful."
"But it's true because of what I believe!"
"Well I don't believe what you believe so could you kindly keep it to yourself?"
"Wahhhhh you meanie! Why don't you respect my religion?!"

I'll cop to the fact that I give christians sh!t on here. But my entire f*cking life I had their stupid ideology shoved down my throat and was threatened with damnation when I didn't play along. I'm a better person morally than every christian I know, but there are people on here (who don't even know me) telling me I'm evil and immoral b/c I make fun of their favorite bed time story. What was the question? Oh, agree.

God wants his followers to spread the word through out his kingdom. He didn't create everyone to be believers if he did then there would be no reason for men to go out and spread the Gospel. I agree that the bible has gotten twisted by self righteous men but in the end if you believe in love and fairness and helping your fellow man/woman aren't you in essence following the word of God without realizing it? Some people want to be good caring individuals who live there lives by their own set of rules but... if your compare these rules to those in the bible a lot of the qualities sound the same. The only differences is they are not bowing down and giving thanks.

I'd have to agree with you! I have even seen christians attacking each others "doctrines" in here....they can't even agree with each other, so it's really no surprise! But you don't se non-believers duking it out with each other, I think we all appreciate each other, Ive found the non believers on here both male and female to be quite sweet and caring people! You rock! :)

I don't see the difference between one group saying that they're picked on and the other claiming that something is being forced upon them or shoved down their throat. If you're not seeing non-believers acting poorly you must be only reading every tenth question.

I find religious conversation to be absolutely fascinating. I am still learning so much and feeling my faith for the first time without the force of my parents.
I do believe that the bottom line is, there is only one Judge, so we can debate as much as we want, but that's what it is, what one of us says will never get the final say.
To close, my father once said, "I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for you to be able to say it..." which I am sure he took from someone else. :o)

the fundies will always fight for their right to shove their beliefs down other people's throats. It's best to try not to figure them out.

Agree. They need to learn how to take what they dish out. If they can't, then they need to shut the hell up.

hmmm... i see so much whining and bickering on both sides. however believers actually have a moral code that they are bound by, whereas the non-believers are bound only by their own morals. *shrug* i agree- "practice what you preach" (unless your preaching evolution, would be hard to practice that...)

We all see what we want to or what we expect to see. From my perspective, I see a lot of disrespectfulness from all sides (including non-Christians) and very little honest discussion here.
