I'm researching for school and I want to know what the legends say about the Return of King Arthur. How it will happen, or something. What's involved in it. Thanks!

Excalibur was returned to the Lady of the Lake for keeping until King Arthur returns when England is in greatest need - he will be known as the true king because the Lady of the Lake will present him with the sword

Arthur would return when England had need of him most. DC comics did a mini-series called Camelot 3000 about Arthur returning to fight off an alien invasion.

Some might say the spirit of Arthur returned in Winston Churchhill's rather stout form during England's war years.

Others say Arthur did in fact return in the flesh during Margaret Thatcher's reign but was either gunned down or captured by MI-5 under Thatcher's order.

There was legend about Arthur's tomb, but I barely remember it - Someone showed a guy hole in the ground leading to the Arthur's tomb, were he was lying with his knights, the guy could take money from the tomb, but he was warnend not to touch bell at the enterance of the tomb and/or not to return, however he returned, touched the bell and one of the knights waked up and asked if England is in danger and so on untill something bad happened. The idea was that when England will be in danger, the bell will start to ring and Arthur and the knights will awake to fight

The legend goes, King Arthur and all his true Knights of the round table, will return when England is about to fall. Thats all there is to it. I believe they are waiting in Arthurs burial chamber or similar.

King Arthur will return when England needs him most. I don't think there is more to the story than that.

Some people may view it as fantasy, but I view it as possible fact. I researched a theory about a the biblical coming anti-christ/ the king to come. Visit this website; but be sure you are prepared, many of it is eye-opening. Those who believe in judaism, Hindus, Buddhists, and new-age groups are all seeking a coming Messiah, or the greatest sage.

what I have heard is sketchy at best, but two shall come to Glastonbury. The one female of the two will part the mists, gaining them entry to Avalon, the other, male, will blow a golden horn that shall awaken Artus Rex.

This will happen when Brittan needs him the Most. But then it could all be a metaphor.

If Arther were to return it might be as a reincarnation, Prince William could possibly be him in my opinion.

From:

http://www.skygaze.com/content/mysteries/KingArthur.shtml

..."Arthur's faithful supporters place the dying king in a boat that glides off through a white mist across the sea to Avalon.
"Comfort yourself," Arthur calls out to his
grief-stricken knights on the shore.
"Be you sure that I will come again when the land of Britain has need of me."
