With virtually no foreigner's, like it was back in the 1980's? Only a couple here and there, and not being over populated like we are today?

It's amazing to me that the Bible has said how the end of the world is going to play out, but that most people don't seem to take these things seriously in the light of events that are taking place these days. It clearly says, "But in the last days, perilous times shall come..."

What are perilous times?

- 9/11/2001 tragedy
- Hurricane Katrina disaster
- Sunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic destruction in Indonesia
- famine/genocide in Sudan
- the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan
- The war between Israel and Islamic terrorist organizations
- Threat of nuclear attack from extremist nations
- Bird Flu, Global Warming
- HIV/AIDS

Just to name a few?

The scope of any one of these problems is daunting, but with all these things and more how can the world cope? Do you think the world can solve these problems with mere politics, diplomacy and humanitarian efforts?

i could sit here all day and post all the nasty things that some christian fanatics say about others but i want other peoples opinion and ideas since i am working on a story i want to write when all the christians leave this rock.

christians say jesus will come to get them so let it be that way and i can write my book about their religion.

I was raised as a catholic and have found the church dispicable. One of my chief complaints is that after my mom and dad got divorced (married in the church for 25 years) my father was excummunicated because he married again. But, all he would have had to do is pay $5000 for an annulment. The church charges $5000 bucks to say something that produced three children never existed? It's all about the money.

...so I'm not surprised that many people don't understand the answers science has given us. It is just above MOST peoples' heads. But why do people deny evolution and the big bang, while accepting cellphones and XBox? DNA evidence is admissible in court, but not in public school? WTF?

And to make matters worse they are red squirrels. Should we sit idly by and watch them defile and deface our nation's symbol, or should we string them. The commie loving varmints. This was on the internet news. Squirrels were taking the flags placed on graves up to their branches to make nests. Is nothing sacred. Have the squirrels gone nuts?

On this the 5th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I see a lot of people quietly mourning our nation's loss, treating the whole anniversary with sentimentality and grace. All the while, all I feel is anger and frustration.

I'm angry with the fact that the man who perpetrated these awful crimes is still wandering around somewhere and living as though nothing ever happened. I'm angry that our government has not done more to catch Bin Laden. I'm angry that the administration has choosen to sacrifice my brothers and sisters in the name of "fighting terrorism" and "spreading democracy" while nothing more is being done to bring Bin Laden to justice.

I'm frustrated that I still do not understand completely WHY this tragedy happened... why do the middle easterns hate Americans so much? I am a good person, why do they hate me? I'm frustrated that the media has censored opposing points of view and does not present to the American public the Muslims' reasons for the attacks.

Am i wrong??

You came here to the Religion and Spirituality section. You read the question. If you don't like what it suggests, why not hit the BACK button and go on with your life? No one is forcing you to answer or even read questions posted by the religious or spiritual. Just because something made you think, doesn't mean it's forcing it on you. No one ever claims that someone's non-belief is being forced on them even though many questions here are posted by "non-believers."
