With virtually no foreigner's, like it was back in the 1980's? Only a couple here and there, and not being over populated like we are today?

No, I'm not in my 20's. Actually I'm 33 so I knew the 1980's very well and it was a much better time in society. Thank you.

Unfortunately, too many greedy corporations and politicians in Washington DC that put their interests above the interests of this country,in the end it will be it's undoing because foreigners have no loyalty whatsoever to this country or whatever happens to it,Everyone that comes here just want the benefits provided and send them back to their own country.

well, if you're really from the Ohio area, you should know that that is a silly question. there were millions of foreigners already here -- just go up a state to Michigan. growing up it was weird for someone to have a name like smith or jones or be able to trace their lineage in the US back more than 2-3 generations. this country is founded with, by and on foreigners. the town i lived in was primarily Polish, German & a few Russians. one town up, Mexican & Hispanic, another Greek & Armenian, on and on.

what i do believe though, out of your question, is the fact that when people immigrated here, while they maintained their cultural identity by moving near "their own" they didn't try to inpose their ethnic heritage but rather adopted the American ways. my grandparents tried very hard to become American-ized, yet we never lost our Polish roots.

(BTW, born in the mid 60's here....)

We're all foreigners to the Indians and I'll bet they wished the country would return to the way it was before we got here.

This may sound bigoted. But I agree and I also think we should go back to minding our own business and get out of the U.N.

I almost hate to say it, but I do. When I compare now & then...then was much nicer. I'm not racist by any means but you have to look at the facts.
