No. Actually it's probably the other way around. Evolution is erroneus. It takes more faith to believe in that, than creation.

Maybe not a lower IQ per se but definitely ignorant and uneducated. Anyone who has the most basic understanding of the sciences will see that special creation is an impossibility. I wonder if any of these xian robots have actually read the statement from the NAS? Where are the thousands and thousands of scientists who deny evolution?

Actually one needs a reference point to evaluate I.Q.'s so if your IQ were say 60 then all above that can grasp Darwins' little scientific theory and read the entire Bible too! Let's see that would be Aramaic,Arabic, Greek and Latin translations!

Evolution still doesn't explain how humans are so closely related to the animal kingdom yet so advanced.

If evolution was true and there is no god, africans could possibly be less advanced humans.

Also, why is it that we are the only creatures who can literally blow up the earth and also the ones who can save it?

U need science and religion to seek truth. One without the other is the downfall of civilization.

I have known people that did deny evolution and they were "otherwise" very bright and accomplished people.
The prejudice they feel is vestigial from the shift to Humanism over 100 years ago.
Before Humanism everyone worked for either God or King and nothing else.
Many very religious people at the time were unnecessarily suspect of scientists and their attitudes have been passed down.

I wouldn't say that. I don't think that they CANNOT grasp it, the basic principles are ridiculously simple. The real problem is that they WILL NOT grasp it, they refuse point blank to even learn about it, so effective is the brainwashing carried out by Kent Hovind et al.

Preliminary eveidence suggests that being religious in general is a sign of a lower IQ. This has only been tested on the level of (estimated) IQ of different countries, but it is a very significant correlation.

offcourse anyone can deny evolution coz it remains still a theory, so any intelligent person (high IQ) not just scientists can set out to proof it's wrong or right.

Not necessarily lower IQ. In my opinion, it is just that they cannot see past the bible and creationism. Why can't I believe in God and still accept scientific proof of evolution?
