The Bible was written by men who weren't particularly educated. Dinosaurs weren't known by them. If the Bible is so great, it should have something about the world's long history. The two creations in Genesis leave no time for the many creatures that lived for millions of years before Man appeared. Some illiterates say "Leviathan" in the Bible was a dinosaur. Well, there were hundreds of species of dinosaurs. Which one was it? There were big amphibians and other reptiles before dinosaurs and other big non-dinosaur reptiles living during the time of the dinosaurs. There were many big mammals in the past 65 million years since the dinosaurs became extinct. The Bible does not account for anything really. it is naive and flawed.

The Xian response to this is 'Leviathan' and 'Behemoth' are mentioned in Job. They only think these terms refer to dinosaur like creatures b/c no one has any idea what is being referred. No other writing exists that mentions these creatures and the terms are only used in the book of Job. No where else in the Bible. And, there are plenty of questions about the story anyway that have nothing to do with dinosaurs so it shouldn't be used as a credible piece anyway.

There is the Leviathan (possibly a Kronosaur), the Behemoth (possibly an Apatosaur), the Basilisk (some modern versions call it an adder, however, from the earliest art of the Basilisk, it could be identified as some sort of Rhamporhyncoid), and dragons (any sort of exceedingly large reptile).

Remember, the term "dinosaur" was coined in the mid-1800's. Prior to that, they were called "dragons". You're not going to get a modern word from an ancient book, no matter how infallible it might be...

...who is more ignorant and foolish, the one who sees a giant tentacled creature and calls it "Kraken", or the one who says "there is no such thing as a Kraken" but then sees the very same creature and calls it "giant squid", and continues to say "there is no such thing as a Kraken, there is only the giant squid"?

They are - ever so briefly - Genesis 1-21 is the trick.
King James bible says "And God created great whales" - so he's starting with mammals & not much chance for dinosaurs there.

But Genesis 1-21 in the Good News bible says "So God created the great sea-monsters" which could certainly be talking about marine dinosaurs.

That's the problem with all old, translated (muliple times) texts. Change 1 word & it goes from whale to sea-monster. Consider the VIRGIN Mary. The original word used could either mean VIRGIN or MAIDEN, depending on context. Bit of a change in the story of the VIRGIN birth, if Mary was a MAIDEN rather than a VIRGIN, don't you think.

Because the bible doesn't have an index of every animal that ever existed. It just says "all the creatures of the land and sea." That is a really diffucult and hard topic, but I have seen good Christian research that shows there were dinosaurs and where they lined up according to the bibles timelines. Google it and see what you come up with...if I can find it I will get back to you too.

Some people believe the dinosaurs to be the "Levaithan" mentioned in the Bible.

I have answered this many times, but I will again for you. It is mention in the bible, if you want to read it correctly. There is a old saying, reading between the lines. And One word can make a whole lot of difference. Go to Gen. 9:1 And God bless Noah & his sons, & said unto them, be fruitful, Multiply & REPLINISH the earth. REPLINISH means to fill it up AGAIN. Now go to Gen.1:28 Speaking of Adam & Eve. Be Fruitful & multiply & REPLINISH the earth. In other words God told Adam & Eve to fill up the earth AGAIN. There was a prehistoric world, That could have lasted many millions of yrs. & a Great Ice Age that killed off the prehistoric world That also could lasted many million of yrs. I can see God taking this planet when he Judged the prehistoric world far enough away from the sun to cause the ice age & then I can see God begin to slowly bring the earth back into a relatioship with the sun to warm it up to bring forth Life again, Only the Cave men & woman was not a SON or Daughter of God, they did not have a soul. Adam & Eve was the first ones that had a soul & they were Sons & Daughters of God.

there is a theory called the Gap Theory,
it is a theory that says there is a gap between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. during this time there could have been dinosaurs. Also notice he told man to "replenish" the earth. How could they "re" plenish the earth if it had never been populated before.
again this is just a theory and I don't suppose anyone will know until we get to Heaven, then we can ask God , he is the only one that knows for sure anyway

There are a lot of historical things that aren't in the Bible. Maybe it wasn't written to cover every single base someone comes up with...and I wouldn't call some old bones "proof" of dinosaurs existence.

Some believe that "Leviathan" in the Book of Job (thought to be the oldest book in the Bible) was a dinosaur that was sea-going and missed the Flood.
