...so I'm not surprised that many people don't understand the answers science has given us. It is just above MOST peoples' heads. But why do people deny evolution and the big bang, while accepting cellphones and XBox? DNA evidence is admissible in court, but not in public school? WTF?

They are definetly the most difficult subjects to study, but the conceptial parts are pretty easy. I guess people deny evolution and the big bang because they are too lazy to see the universe themselves through a microscope/telescope. Believing in aliens is like believing in God, its blind faith. If you reason with logic, it must exist right? Someone higher then us made us for that I am sure. And I'm pretty sure there are some aliens that are more advanced then us, even if they are from another galaxy. Its pathetic how people don't believe in Aliens but they believe in horscopes, or even ghosts.

To the common people..

Did you know that there is a 100 billion stars and a trillion planets in every average sized galaxy (like our milkyway). And the amount of galaxies in the universe are infinite. Just think of it like this as well.. There are as much stars in the universe as all the individual grains of sand in all the beaches on Earth.. Now thats alot. I don't believe in those aliens in t.v. thoughlol But people argue that if there are aliens, then how come they haven't shown themselves? Well they could be disguised or covered up by the government. But anyway for all we know the next star is many light years a way and thats hella far.

This is still better than people trying to reconcile Abrahamic religion with science. The first two chapters of Genesis have contraditctory creation stories, and the believers can't see that, so how should we expect them to understand science.

I'm a physiologist, and I'll use that knowledge to give an example of the problems with trying to reconcile the two. There is evidence that women do (extremely rarely) produce an ovum with a full set of chromosomes. Some of these implant, and a little girl with the exact same genetics as her mother is born. A small percentage of these cases have been in women with in tact hyman (virgins). It is also possible, through a jump in testosterone in the mother, that the fetus can masculinize. It is also possible for a XX zygote to mutate and become XY. But if we try to use this to explain the biblical claim of Jesus' conception and birth, we must admit that he was either a genetic female (maybe why "he" was celebate) or he was a mutant. At this point I don't think many Xians would play along.

1. ScienceDaily: Big Bang’s Afterglow Fails Intergalactic ‘Shadow’ Test

"University of Alabama at Huntsville scientists are scratching their heads at a finding that may see the big bang “blown away” in the minds of scientists. Big bang advocates believe the cosmic explosion is responsible for the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation we observe. However, scientists have long predicted that galaxy clusters in the universe would deflect the CMB radiation, creating “shadows” in the observable radiation. But when the Alabama scientists measured this effect, they did not find any strong “shadows” as expected.

This indicates that the CMB radiation may not be “behind” distant galaxies, but much closer instead. Since the big bang interpretation requires the CMB radiation to be behind the farthest galaxies, this new discovery is a devastating blow to the big bang model, and indicates that the CMB radiation cannot be leftover radiation from a big bang. Of course, this isn’t the only evidence against a big bang.

This new evidence must be particularly distressing for those compromising Christians who have tried to “add” the big bang to the Bible. What will they do now? This exciting new discovery reminds us that we should always place our faith in the Word of God, not the changing secular opinions about the origin of the universe."

The Big Bang has big problems. Evolution is a hoax. It is not science, never has been, never will be. DNA evidence would destroy evolution in a court. Evolution cannot account for information systems in DNA. Neither biology nor geology give us sufficient evidence to buy the evolution hoax.

Science needs to prove everything, and there are things that time time to prove. For example once upon a time rain was mysterious and was thought to occur when certain "Gods" were appeased, however we today understand the seasons and their cycles etc, even the ones in the "religious" side of life understand that.
Give science time and it will prove the big bang and DNA evidence would become avaliable everywhere.

It has all to do with money, power and control of gullible minds. Organised religion is a classic in this regard. If we assume the universe was created, then it’s reasonable to assume there was a creator. That’s as far as science has progressed today, but just look how far religion has progressed.

Religion states (fact) there was a creator called God, that God still exists, God also created places called Heaven & Hell, God wrote an instruction book called the Bible, God will banish evil people to Hell, God will send good people who follow the Bible to Heaven, that people referred to in the Bible (like Jesus) will return to Earth, and a whole raft of other statements of fact. That’s right, religious fact, not assumptions.

Now tell me truthfully, if science doesn’t even know yet whether the universe was created or not, but religious believers state: “not only was the universe created by God, here’s a whole lot more proof and facts to go with it, what do you think?

Either religious believers just have vivid imaginations or suffer from a common mental illness. I think commonsense and logic would suggest that religious believers are mentally handicapped.

Science has exploded with its contribution to humanity over the past 2000 years. Humans live on average so much longer. Contributions from technology, medicine, information, communication, discoveries about the universe, education, health, travel, food, the list is endless.

Religious people are quick to suggest that God gave humans the ability to use science to help humanity, and therefore God deserves the credit. In the same vein then, what has God helped religion achieve over the past 2000 years? Religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began.

People get on airplanes and fly all over the place, but if you told them how the plane works-what actually keeps it up in the air-and if they thought about it, it would seem unbelievable and scary enough that they would have to stop thinking about it.

Xbox is tangible and can exist in our present environment. If you go to an isolated community and tell them about television and describe an Xbox and what it does, most will not believe that an Xbox exists.

I agree with you. I don't understand it...the DNA testing really gets to me. I mean, what if the kid wants to be a lawyer or something, and he doesn't even know what DNA evidence is? lol he could sue the schools for neglect of education....

This is because they are hard if you assume and try to link them to nothing.
I link them to each other, and then to God. Once that happens, I realize that
1) There is no need for the "science v. religion" conflict. God created science. God started evolution. Go him.
2) It should become easier at this point.

i agree on the theory of evolution and big bang theory, im a believer in them both. humans need to feel an attachment to whatever they think it was that created them. so going to church, praying, etc. are all ways to get closer to our begginnings and find out the ultimate answer of why. although no one ever thinks about it.....

because science comes from the knowledge and ability to understand, that God has given us. God is real. Jesus Christ is the only way to get to Him

God bless you
