Don't things like makeup, tight jeans, high heels, short skirts, cleavage, etc all inspire lust in men causing them to sin? I personally don't see how it's possible not to lust after women. This was one of the first things that got me to start investigating my beliefs. Once I hit puberty, my the Bible's definition, I was sinning all the time. I prayed and it didn't change anything. I eventually reasoned out for myself that Christianity was false, a belief I hold today. It just doesn't make sense to me why Christian women don't dress like Muslims. This is what the Bible says about the subject:

"But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust in his eye has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
- Matthew 5:28

I think this is a very interesting question and maybe it will get some of the men out there to start questioning what they believe.

Can we not learn to respect the life experiences of other people and the reasons why they have decided to follow their faith? There is so much to be learned from the input of other religious and spiritual insights than our own.

"it will never die out" will not be accepted as an answer as all religions die out eventually... take a look at the Egyptions... we dont worships cats or bury out dead in pyramids anymore.

I am looking for numbers below circa 2010 :-) - yeah i wish... but is 2200 a realistic possibility?

Five years ago, as a nation, we all stood together. We all wanted the same resolution, and the same resolve. War on Terror. Today this country is divided and minds have been changed. Today our nation is split many ways, stay the course or abandon it. How did you feel five years ago? How did your mind change? How do you feel TODAY?

10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
Compare: Matthew 13:1-23; Luke 8:4-15

Salvation is Not for Everyone?
It is no surprise that Jesus’ apostles didn’t understand what he was talking about when he delivered his parable about the seeds and the sower. It appears to be metaphorical, so the meaning isn’t immediately obvious or intuitive to everyone hearing it. Naturally, they ask him about it.

Stranger than even the parable is Jesus' response here, which is that the parable is supposed to be a mystery and that most people aren’t supposed to understand it.

Christians think it's about 10,000 years and scientists think it's millions of years old . Why the differences? ( As a Christian, I especially want the Christian view ).

It's not being said to people as an insult, so why can't people who don't celebrate Christmas just let it go? I could care less if someone said "Happy Hanukkah" to me. I guess I just don't understand why people are so bent out of shape about it. It's ment to be a nice, pleasant thing. Well, if it creates controversy someone's gonna whine about it.

This is directed at those who respond to those who ask questions you know they're only trying to get a rise out of you. Why do you even respond? Do you not have the will to ignore? And if you can't tell the difference, well, then no need to respond. Thanks. Just trying to help and understand.

This has gotten me confused. For the people who've seen my previous question, you say the only thing about America that certain other countries hate is the government and foreign policies. However, if that's true, why don't you just settle your disputes on a battlefeild rather than killing innocent people who have absolutely nothing to do with what our government has done to you. Is it because you have limited military resources and cannot face America equally, because I don't believe that's true. If all the anti- American factions uniyed, they would be a force to reckon with. I can support you fighting us on a battlefeild, but killing people by sending agents over here to highjack and destroy doesn't really bring a message to us. it just pissed us off, and united all our factions.

5 years ago, we all know the story by heart by now, so i won't bore you with the details & get straight to the point.
after the dust settled, well most of it, a new feeling swept across this nation, a sudden surge of patriotism... FALSE PATRIOTISM! 5 years ago yesterday, not many people gave a damn about this great nation, going about their daily lives taking all the freedoms that have been paid for in blood by countless young men for over 200 years, some people Even found fault with this country.
5 years ago, tomorrow, American flags were in front of ev'ry door step, on ev'ry lawn, waving on a post attached to ev'ry car window.
this was both a great, & tragic thing to see. great, because, for a short time, people KNEW that we were the best land on god's green earth! tragic because it takes destruction & a high death toll of innocents to bring upon such a feeling.
5 years since, this present time, patriotism is scarce now, possibly even more rare than it was on 9/10/01!...

Is it God who punishes us for our sins or do we get punished because we commited the sin, therefore, we opened the door for Satan to come in and try to destroy us. And if that's the case, does God allow Satan to do things to us because we have sinned? For example: I went out this weekend and sinned. I've already asked God for foregiveness but I feel like I'm still going to be punished in some way or another. This worries me even more because my daughter is ill and I'm afraid that I opened the door to Satan and now she could be in danger of getting more sick. Is this true by God's Word? Please help me with advice and scripture. I know what I did was wrong, I asked for forgiveness and strength from God, so I don't do it again. What else should I do?

Obviously christian music.

Jazz, country, rock, hip-hop, rap, classical?

I bet Jesus would like most forms of music. With a few exceptions like Kevin Federline.

I speak Portuguese and understand lots of spanish (i live in the states), and the more i hear it, the more I'm convinced how similar the languages are. I think that if you revise the portuguese orthograph a little, you have the same languages. Any ideas? How different is Portuguese from Spanish? Which one originated from the other? Did they both branch off of an older language? Are they growing apart?
