Can we not learn to respect the life experiences of other people and the reasons why they have decided to follow their faith? There is so much to be learned from the input of other religious and spiritual insights than our own.

It's just like when you used to have show & tell in elementary school. You'd have something special to bring and you wanted to share it with everyone who would listen. To me, that's just like Christianity. Jesus makes such a difference in my life, I want everyone to know so that He can make a difference in your their lives too. He gave us free will so that we would CHOOSE to come to Him rather than just follow like mindless sheep.

If one saw a child run out into a busy street, would not that one want to try to save that child? Or if someone was hiking on a remote canyon trail, and saw a person, young or old, by the side of the trail, and he or she had just crashed and had many injuries, would one not try to help? Conversly, as Christians, we see so many people headed toward a literal, real place called hell. In that place, we know that there is literal fire and unbearable torment, to mention just a few things. However, we also know there is a place called Heaven, a place of wondrous rejoicing and glory. We know that the only way to be brought there is through the only true Savior--Jesus Christ. He's the one who made it possible for us to go their when we die, or when the rapture occurs, whichever comes first. Of course we will tell people about Him, and spread the Good News, the Gospel, the news of Salvation, God's wonderful gift to us! God bless!

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Everyone wants everyone else to agree with everything they say because then we would live in a utopia...even though that would be insanely boring, this is what people think they want. Having only one religion, one race, and one idea of government would certainly do that.

You're not going to listen to what I have to say with an open mind because yours is already made up, but I'm sayin' it anyway. :)

People feel the need to convert others because they feel that what they have, what they know, is truth. Why WOULDN'T you want others to know the truth? If you knew there was a giant storm coming and knew of the perfect place with plenty of room for everyone to seek refuge, you'd tell people about it. The same concept can be applied to religion.

It's not that people feel the need to shove their beliefs down others' throats- it's simply a desire to share what's worked for them. I see nothing wrong with it. We do it all the time regarding tv shows, books, music, etc. Why not with beliefs about how the world works?

I never thought I would be lecturing a Rabbi. It's not so much about converting others, it should be about saving others from evil. It's more important to get someone to live in a good manner, before its too late. Atheists cant do that, as they only have laws to keep them in line. So they need some direction, and conversion would seem best for them. Do you agree Rabbi?

Because conversion might save somebody from going to Hell if he/she is on the wrong path i.e. worshiping humans (Jesus), worshiping animals (Cow), worshiping idols (Budhism)..etc

And those who are on the Right Path (Islam) have the responsibility to spread the message and call to salvation.

because when a question or opinion is asked, it is my right as an American and my duty as a Christain to share. it is also my bessing as a Christian to share the love that is felt. we always want the best for one another and Christianity is, for me, the best -- it's much better to chare what is good, than what is bad!

Jews have no mandate to convert others, and they do not respect other religions. You should know this- I don't think you are a Rabbi or a Jew.
