i've often thought the same thing, however, i too am guilty as charged - sometimes the spell check just takes too long and my time is limited!

They don't care.
They think it's cool to write in slang/dialect/text message code
They are foreign and don't know which correct word to pick in the spell checker.
The spell checker wasn't working. (I cut and paste my posting into Word to spell check in that case but I'm a little nuts like that.)

Isn't that the truth...it drives me crazy! Is it laziness, ignorance, or what? Do they just not care and are in such a rush to ask their questions or answer them that all their sense goes out the window???
I wish I knew. I appreciate your question because it indicates there are still some of us out there who understand the importance of good spelling and grammar!!
