It depends on what you are speaking of. If you mean the rapture, when those who are dead in Christ are raised, then yes, people will be alive at that time. Those who have been saved through faith in Jesus Christ and have died (or, as the Bible says, fallen asleep) will rise first, and then those who are alive and are saved will follow.

If you mean the dead from the book of Revelation who rise to stand before the great white throne judgment, the answer is still yes. That will happen after the second coming of Christ, the battle of Armageddon and the thousand year reign of Christ on earth. Then Satan will be loosed, gather another army, and be defeated. After that comes the great white throne judgment, when all the dead (those who are spiritually dead, meaning no faith in Jesus Christ) will rise from the earth, from hell and from the sea-wherever they are- and will appear before the throne of God to be judged, found guilty, and cast into the lake of fire.

As to whether or not we, as in you and me, will be alive, that depends on when the rapture occurs. It may be in our lifetimes, or it may not.

Does that answer your question?

That depends upon to which event you are referring. Are you referring to Christ's return? Who are the rest of us? First, we don't know when Christ will return. Should His return be much later than today, we could all be dead. If Christ returns now, then those who are alive will not be killed and the dead will be raised up. It is not impossible that some of us will be among the dead to be raised.

Well... If you ain't dead, what are you?

But I think I get the drift.

At the Rapture, the dead in Christ will rise first, then the rest of us will be caught up with Him in the clouds....

This IS what you're asking about, right?

The dead are just that, dead. They stay that way. Why would a spirit or soul want to stay in a nasty, icky, rotting pile of flesh? The soul goes on with real life once the journey in the body ends. Think about it, don't just believe what you're told.

don't quote me but, i'm pretty sure we will be b/c after Jesus removes the Christians from earth and takes them to heaven the tribulation will began. we're studying this in sunday school right now. it's really amazing. i suggest reading the bible. if you have or will read the left behind books just remember that not all of it is true according to the bible. the author didn't know the answer so they created on after doing research.
