Don't give me rubbish about he has sacked pedophiles, he should really be taking these pedophiles to court. by condoning this behavior isn't he saying to all pedophiles come to the Catholic church as we will cover up your actions? And aren't Catholics condoning pedophilia by supporting their church?

I weight 550 lbs,and that's no lie My Doctor told me that I needed to loose weight before I have my gastric bypass surgery, on top of that medicaid suppose to Cover payments but I had to be on social security for at least two years,(BTW) I just started socail security,I feel like by that time I wiil weight more than what i do now or either in my grave because sometimes I stop breathing in my sleep because of my weight.I want to know What can I do in this situation??

i think if you belive in god, you might as well believe in santa, the easter bunny, && the tooth fairy.

as children, many of our parents told us that if we are good all year, santa will bring us gifts on december 25th. but if we are bad, we will get nothing but coal. this was a fun conspiracy to make us behave.
and when we were children, many of us were taught that there is a man in the sky that will protect us from any harm, and he has a plan for our lives. then that if we are good, he will send us to heaven...a beautiful happy place...but, if we are bad, we will burn in hell for all eternity. this was also a conspiracy to make us behave how the government wants us to. this was started a very long time ago. and now it is just getting in the way of our new laws and beliefs.
wouldnt just letting go of the belife of god make everything so much easier? just like santa, we need to accept the fact that there is no man watching your every move making sure you behave. cept for the gov...

I heard that the old tastement includes many horrible verses. However, through my reading in Quran I found a verse that seem to be horrific to me. It says [Al Maida 5:33]:

"The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger (Muhammed), is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and there is still a heavy punishment in the Hereafter"

Can any Muslim tell me what does this horrible verse mean?

Hola Cynthia! Well, we do not have the flu anymore, but we are both still very congested. I would love for you to send some cream for her gums. She has two teeth coming in on the bottom. None on top yet. I have an appointment with the orthopedic on the 31st to talk about other options for her foot. I do not want to put that brace back on her. I think she might have to get a cast. If so, she will still be able to move her right leg and she will be able to roll over also. With the brace she couldn't move at all. It was horrible. Anyway, I will give the picture to Diego to send to you. Thank you very much for the clothes and pictures that you sent. I can't wait to see them! I am on a diet. I have lost 10 pounds in 10 days! I need to lose a lot more though. I want to be skinny before I move to Florida! How are you doing with your diet? How is everything there? When will you be coming back here? When you do, you will have to go through Florida first and you can see Gabriela! She misses you. She smiles when you talk to her on the phone. She will be glad to see you. Well, I better go now. I will talk to you soon!

Why complicate it by using a term that implies separateness and means something much different to the majority of people who use the term. I had this argument with a new age friend today, who was trying to tell me that he believed in God and that God was the universe after I showed him the movie "the elegant universe" which is about string theory. I asked him, then why doesn't he just say he believes in the universe, instead of confusing the matter with a loaded term like God?

How can I convince her I'm not planning on majoring in it(she thinks it's completely useless), but that I'm just interested in the subject? We're not even really going to go in depth into the civil rights movement here in America--we're mainly going to be studying pre-colonial Africa, the rise of colonialism and expansionism, and studies of the African diaspora, like in the Caribbean, Europe, etc.
I guess my mom thinks it's kind of stupid for a black person to want to study black culture--she still is convinced I should be an accountant(that'll happen when Hell freezes over).
