This is something I just thought of. Do most Americans love the rough and tough life? Do they like being muscular and the need "to be a man"?

Is this also the reason why they are so active and excel in sports?

Are the Brits also like that? Or the French or Canadians?

I'm holding back from telling a shocking traumatic lie in response to a question I was just emailed from a guy I've worked with... The question was so personal and overstepping boundaries, it seriously offended me.
How do you respond? I'm really tempted to make up something traumatic so that next time he wants to ask an intrusive question he'll think twice!!!

Anyone else notice that when a white is skinny and small, he's thought of as a puny little whimp and when someones darker hes thought of as sensitive and nice?

And when a white is muscular and tough he's thought of as a "jerk" or an "idiot" and when someone darker is he's "tough like a man should be" and "attractive"

Anyone else also notice how the bad guy in virtually all movies is the whitest looking guy? You can literally tell someone is the bad guy in the movie by how white he is.

I heard of a survey in the U.K. that asked Muslims if they identify themselves as Muslim or British first. I don't remember the exact number, but I think the majority said Muslim. So I ask you guys: Are you a Christian/Muslim/Jew/ etc. first, or an American first?
If you don't mind, state your religion please.

Hi. Following is the part of the news article.

William Leo Smith, then a 20-year-old college student, woke up on the floor of the pet shop where he worked, blinking up at a ring of worried faces and feeling as if he’d been stabbed in the hand.

It says " blinking up at a ring of worried faces " What does it mean?

I looked up a dictionary to find out the meaning of "ring" but I failed.

Plz help me out~

It's just with some people..ugh...trying to talk to them, I feel like I'm losing IQ points by the second, and they call me "stuck up", "snobby" or that I think I'm better than other people, and it's not that..I just prefer not to willingly engage in meaningless, mundane conversation that does not stimulate me mentally. Is that such a bad thing?

My mother decorates eggs via Ukrainian egg decorating technique (real eggs with wax, dye, etc.; it's a complex art). She is very good at it, and she gave me some as a gift several years ago. I brought them with me to wherever I go, but I broke my favorite one today...

I was running to answer the door, and I tripped on a rug, but I didn't fall then. Instead, I stumbled into the counter, stumbled backwards into the table, got my foot caught around a chair leg somehow, and tripped on that. On my way down, I grabbed the cloth decoration which is under the decorated eggs. Then one of the eggs fell off of the table--my favorite one.

Should I tell my mum there was a hurricane here or should I tell her the truth the next time she calls me? I accept and am not ashamed of my clumsiness, but I think my mum is.

I was also already punished for it...the delivery man at the door asked what was going on because the egg smelled when it was broke. I lied and told him I was cooking.

As luck would have it, over the past couple weeks I have met 6 women who I am interested in. However, I have a date at the same time with all of them tomorrow. Should I cancel with 5 and just go with the one I like best. Or should I try to make this work by inviting them all to the same restraunt and sneak from table to table. I really want to keep dating all six. What should I do?

I`m interested in philosophy and the human mind, so I want you guys to answer a few questions. Since some people call it prejudice, I want to see what you think. Do you think its prejudice? What are you against(list all)? Why are you against it? Do you think these people have certain personality traits? What are they? Do hate them or are you just against it? Are you against it purely because of what your religion says? If not, what are your other reasons? Do you have any friends with those beliefs/life style? If not, would you be friends with anyone like that? Did your friends/family have a lot of influence on your dislike to the beliefs/life style? If your child or someone else you love a lot changed to the religion/sexuality, what would your reaction be, could you still love them? Anything else you want to state, please be my guest. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure it says not to murder in the Bible somewhere. How can you forgive those who murder and rape and molest, but not forgive gay people, who are simply trying to live their life happily? Priests absolve people of their sins before death. So a man who has lets say murdered 20 people is forgiven, but a gay man who falls in love with another man is going to hell?

Can someone explain?

Okay, ever since elementary school I've been bullied like crazy because I was always the kid into music instead of sports. I tried to compromise with them to stop the abuse, but they just laughed me right out of tryouts and made me miserable for years. This carried on through middle school, and now in High School it's paying off and I'm getting calls from all over the state to sing and perform at people's private events and I'm singing in musicals and plays in the big city and concert halls. Now they're trying to act like my best friends, and it doesn't feel right. Any advice?
