It's just with some people..ugh...trying to talk to them, I feel like I'm losing IQ points by the second, and they call me "stuck up", "snobby" or that I think I'm better than other people, and it's not that..I just prefer not to willingly engage in meaningless, mundane conversation that does not stimulate me mentally. Is that such a bad thing?

Nope. Not a bad thing at all. I deal with about 3 people total. It's enough for me. More than that...i get violent. People suck and most of them are just not worth knowing.

Not really, but it's hard to be "accepted" if you don't socialize.
I personally agree with you. I hate talking to people about nothing all the time.
Remember, if you don't want to talk to the people who socialize, just don't. You shouldn't respect their opinion of you anyway, if you think they're idiots.
Find people you want to talk to, and make friends. Everybody has their own likes and dislikes, and it's O.K. to be yourself.

i am a person who gets along with everyone. and i work with people who drive me crazy to but there is times if you sit and talk to people you will learn something you didn't know and there might be someone you can be friends with. you have to give everyone a chance

im the same way ... sometimes its just better to humor them and enjoy the day ... theres alot to be said for just interacting with people.
