Seems like a lot of people want to go to seminary so they'll be more spiritual or closer to God. But isn't the Gospel supposed to be simple? Jesus said in Matthew 18:3, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Wouldn't seminary overcomplicate the message?

It's sad I'm compelled to ask this question. From my experience with marriage and Christian counselling, why is a high sexual libido treated as a disease, or a sin, or a weakness within the marriage? Understand, I'm referring strictly to the marriage bed and NOT infidelity. My question specifically address the Christian Husband and his Christian Wife where one has a higher libido than the other.

First of all, I respect everyones beliefs, but why is it ok to bash Christianity, but all other religions are off limits. I saw an article in a paper that shows the Pope deformed and a Catholic priest as a demon, thats ok, but as soon as someone does the same to whatever other religion, its considered as anti-(insert religion here) or just plain hatemongering. Is this polititcal correctness at its worst?

It seems to me that Christians walk around with a cloud of ignorance hanging over there heads. Meandering lemmings falling off the cliff of repentance. They twist scriptures to fit their beliefs. They claim that Jesus died for the sins of humanity when he never said his death would lead to the salvation of anyone. He said worship God only and serve him alone but Christians have made Jesus God thereby breaking the commandment of Moses and thus they are misleading mankind into paganism. Read the bible for yourself! The teachings of Jesus lead to life but the religion of Christianity is pure paganism.

Are you Muslim, Jew, Christian, etc. and believe you and others have a destiny(fate) by virtue of choices? Why? Is sin not based on the premise that we have choice? If you don't have a choice in your actions, how can you sin?

Would the schools or education department please explain:

Why are religious pendants such as cross not allowed when moslem head scarves are rampant? I tend to think that the cross was an issue due to cultural and religious sensitivity.

If a cross pendant offends a certain group of religion and culture, then I am sure the moslem head scarves would also offend a particular group of religion and culture.

For those who have critical views, see a religious cross as simply a modern art - as in the symbol of multiplication X worn straight up. A religious head dress as a fashionable scarf worn in a unique way!

So if the educationists do not want to have religion in their school grounds, then it should be applied to all religion, creed and race!

I agree in this case, it is discrimination.

Just because the white australian race is more tolerant, it does not mean we will have to give up our rights to please other religions which is in the first place foreign to Australia!

It seems like nobody wants to give any details about it. That you have to be a native to know about the great spirit, evil spirits, rituals, etc....Is that true or can anyone follow the religion?

what is the doctrine behind gaining penance and forgiveness through the "Hail Mary" prayer? first- i understand the "rosary" and it's deca-cycles so please dont explain that. just wondering why not go straight to Christ, redeemer of our sins, for forgiveness rather than focus alot, not all but alot, of prayer toward the Holy Mother during our confessions of sins?

I pray to god to understand the minds of theists and atheists alike.

I pray to good that I will be able to use my knowledge to help others become acceptable and outgoing so that they can live their lives freely.

I pray to god that those with afflictions will let me know of their pain. I pray to god that those who recognize my afflictions will show me the light.

I pray to good that I will wear these shoes that others have worn so that I can be at one in mind with them. To help them recognize that there is more, and action must be taken.

I pray to god that evil won't be part of our lives anymore.

I pray to good that I will understand why good and evil must be balanced for evolution to take place.

My true question: Why is what I believe to be good, and what I believe to be godly so much different, yet on the same path?

In Isaiah 7:14, the verse speaks of a virgin conceiving. Christians claim this is a prophecy, fulfilled when Jesus was born of the virgin Mary. The Hebrew word translated as virgin is 'alma'. According to the top Hebrew scholars and Hebrew Bible experts, the word, 'alma', means "young woman". If the word translated as virgin means a young woman, and not virgin, then how can the New Testament (and thus Christianity) claim that Jesus fulfilled prophecy by being born of a virgin. 'Bethulah' is Hebrew for virgin. If there was a prophecy for the messiah being born of a virgin, why wasn't the word 'bethulah' used in Isaiah 7:14?
