No it is not on your record BUT..
Put it this way it is not on your record. If anyone looks at your record it is not there. BUT the police still know about it, they still have records of it. So if you get done for the same offence in future, they know about it all right. And it wil affect how they deal with you.
Also when a "more thorough" check is called for- like for certain job applications- the caution is still there and it gets taken into account. You'll never know in this situation though, you will just get knocked back for the job that's all.
So no, a caution does not stay on your record BUT......

No, you've been arrested. the actual undeniable reality that you've been enable off with a police caution does not change the very reality of the arrest. If it confirmed you've been convicted in court docket,it truly is lots worse than a caution, then it would want to be incorrect.

Although you may be allowed not to disclose an offence after a while, it'll still be on record. Files as we well know are no longer kept on paper, where before it would remain on file for around 7 years. So much information can be stored now where it won't be a problem to hold on to it. i.e. Rooms full of paper.

Frank O: "nope...its a temporary record...but if you get caught again it may be used against you."
So what is your definition of "Permanent" then?
If it isn't permanent, then how can it be used later?
