Word says that the truth will be revealed before the end. No one
will have any excuse. Saying they didn't know any better.
The Earth will go through a major physical upheaval. Most
believe that will occur in 2012 according to the end of the Mayan
calender.
How much longer till the end? We don't know. But Scripture
makes clear that the Rapture will not occur until the "son of
perdition" is revealed. Daniel mentions the time of the end of
the daily sacrifice at the Temple. That is the sign. It will be
a thousand somewhat days till the Abomination of Desolation
is set up in the Temple. (Daniel) Some believe that is the statue
of the antichrist (beast), set up in the Temple and made to speak in Revelation.
Daniel says blessed are the ones who make it to the thousand
and a few more days. (Daniel). Around this time, the Rapture will
occur. The exact time, no one knows.
After this, the Wrath of God period will occur. Finally, the Battle
of Armeggedon, to put an end to the foolishness we allowed to
happen.

According to the Scriptures it will come when it is least expected and that no one will know the time.

But when I consider the state of the world, I personally don't see how it can continue like it is for very long. Mankind is like a scourge upon the Earth and using it up. If anyone were to look down upon the Earth from a far distance in space, it would look as if mankind is a germ or a parasite feeding off the Earth until the Earth dies. But who's to say whether the Earth could possibly recover if humankind were to be reduced by 90 percent? Then it might last another million years or so.

The Bible says that no one knows the hour. It does give us prophecy that tells us to watch Israel. God is a merciful God and I think that He has shown Mercy where people do not deserve mercy, but He will return soon with judgment. I find great solace in the fact that He will be returning the second time in what one preacher thinks will be slow motion. Can you imagine the evil spirits of this world, that have mocked the Christian Faith, standing up and seeing Jesus coming from the East. The fact that He will take His time, the last time, shows absolute control. The twinkling of the eye trip will be the Rapture, it comes earlier. The slow approach is like when your child misbehaves and you tell him to go to his room, that you will be in there in a minute. Your Child is like the evil spirits that see Christ coming, they know that judgment is coming and there is no where to hide.

As far as the last war don't worry about it. If you are saved you will be returning from the Rapture with Christ and the great Battle will be fought with His sword, which is the Word of God. In other words He speaks and things happen.

In 1948 Isreal became a nation and In the bible, it is said that that generation shall not pass, before the coming of the Lord... Which meand that Isreal has been a nation for nearly 60 years, and the generation which is my parents generation, shall not pass..And shall not pass mean, before they generation dies out, the Lord God shall send his son to step out on the clouds and retrieve all his children to come home... I believe we are in the last days... We may have another 50 years left if we are lucky.... personally, I cannot wait.. I want Jesus to step out on those clouds and call us home... But, I want to see more people come to him...This world is vastly becoming more and more evil...And It is so hard to keep focused on what is most important... I Love my Lord and I love everyone on earth, but I am ready to see My Lord and Savior..... No one can say the date or time when God will send his son to come in Glory, but we are to look up and watch for him.... Even Jesus, the son of God does not know the end.... I hope this helps answer your question

P.S. Also, i forgot to add this when Jesus does come it will be in the twinkling of an eye and a strong delusion will fall upon man so they will believe aliens abducted us or something of that nature....

Gods word says that no one knows the time of His coming not even the hour, so I don't try to figure it out. You could read the book of Isaiah and Revelations to do more seeking on this question.

Addition to your question, from what I understand is that Jesus will come and the dead in Christ will rise first and then His church. Then Jesus will rule over Israel (earth) again for 1000 years. There will not be any wars because Jesus is in charge this time, and give the Jew another chance to accept Jesus as their Lord. Then He will let the evil free again and then the Judgment and all who don't believe that Jesus is Lord of all will die once and for all.

I'm not gonna let a book tell me when I'm gonna die.

These biblical people really like to tell everyone the world is going to end. It seems to happen a lot. It's August the 20th, 2006? I bet we're gonna die today...oh to bad, we didn't. I predict we will tomorrow...
