After all, Mohammad (pbuh) copied alot of stuff right from the Bible. Howcome my Mullahs and Immams can teach me all about how the Bible is supposedly corrupted, but they won't let me own a Bible so I can read it for myself?

My mother put me threw hell as a child. She would manage her marriage with complete disregard to how her fighting and arguments with her husband affected her childrens state of mind. Then, as I grew up she continued to treat me like a child and still does: disrespects my wishes, insults my decisions, and treats me as though I was still 3. So why should I "honour thy mother...?"

Okay, fine, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume god lets us sin in order give us free will. The arguement doesn't work at some level, but it's subject to interpretation, and that's not what this question is about. This question is about the following:
Why is something like HELL needed, at all? Couldn't god give humanity the choice to love him or, say, NOT love him, rather than love him or, as Christianity states, suffer endless pain? The issue can easily be solved by saying god isn't omnipotent (or by saying that he's a jerk). And arguements can be avoided entirely using "Divine logic; your mind can't comprehend his divine plan." That's a rational answer, but it also makes further arguements pointless. So, assuming the "Divine logic" idea doesn't work...
What is the functional purpose of hell? A better than neutral deity with omnipotence would remove it if it causes more evil than good. What good does hell cause that couldn't be created with less soulnumbing pain?

I have thought about this a lot of times.. that "Is there even a God or is it just to scare people to do the right things?" From this question things started to make more sense to me. GOD does EXISTS!
First of all ask yourself this... why is it bad to do crimes and why do criminals feel guilty (most of them do) just why?
Why do we work so damn hard in this life rather than robbing some bank or hustling? why do we feel bad when we harm somebody?
Why do we waste so much time sitting at home and listening to our parents/gaurdians even when we don't want/feel to.. why?
Why do we have these charactristics... why is there hope???
If ur telling me that all this is because through generations human beings have developed it...then YOU are the stupidest man alive! If you really think there is no God then why r u doing good things?? Why do u care about friends/family? If there is no GOD then why the hell r we wasting our time being nice while i kno there is nothin after DEATH! YES GOD EXISTS

Seriously it is not all about money. We are to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, clothe the naked, instruct the ignorant,comfort the sorrowful, care for the sick and dying. Are there not things within this scope that one can do without involving money. We are not all called to do the same things. Reading to a child or teaching them to read is just as valid. Why get defensive and presume money is wanted?

Is the Bible is the biggest load of garbage and codswallop ever written by man? I’m sure it will go down in history as the greatest load of gobbledygook ever to inflict such traumatic mental and physical damage on humanity.
When people quote from the Bible:
Mathew 5:29-30 God encouraged self-mutilation.
Isaiah 13:15-18 God allowed women raped and children slaughtered.
Genesis 6:11-17 and 7:11-24 God the mass murderer.
Religious people spew the same old garbage. “That was the old Bible, we’ve changed the meaning, we’ve changed the context, it’s out of context.” The Bible is full of evil atrocities which religious people continually cover up. This is such a shameful disgrace in a civilised world.
If religious cults can’t apply commonsense and logic to develop a simple moral code to live by, then why not strip out of the Bible, evil, murders, rapes, abuse, and all traumatic references. At least they may end up with a decent moral code to follow, and not scare children.
