That is not true , Hochdeutsch is NOT the unattainable norm ....

Hochdeutsch is what you find in everything that is written in germany, all the business is conducted in , and most what most educated germans speak. In school it is a must !

I I may correct you, Hochdeutsch is not the official language, DEUTSCH is the official language.
Hochdeutsch is the preferred way of talking. It is German without ANY kind of accent whatsoever. EVERYTHING in writing is in hochdeutsch. and when people usually refer to German they are referring to Hochdeutsch.

There are several accents and dialects throughout germany , and people out in the villages have pretty heavy accents, however everyone knows hochdeutsch and uses it when appropriate. Especially in the business world speaking anything other than Hochdeutsch is vehemently frowned upon.

When did it start ? Beginning 1900, it is referred to as HOCHdeutsch because people in elevated altitudes used to speak it first ... ;)

Hope this helps :)

Also known as Hochdeutsch because it was the dialect originally spoken in the higher mountain areas, it became the official language of Germany in 1901.

My Sister made that Mistake and He had undesirable Hip issues on the Age of four. Which shouldn't take place in a nicely Bred canines. Do what you please, yet in basic terms keep in mind, you get what you pay for.

NOBODY speaks Hochdeutsch as everybody has an accent and/or dialect. Hochdeutsch is just the unattainable norm.
