By its nature, a prayer is addressed to Almighty Jehovah so by definition the prayer acknowledged His position.
Praying "in Jesus' name" simply acknowledges that Jesus is the mediator between man and God, due to his sacrificial death.
(1 Timothy 2:5,6) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all
(Hebrews 8:6) Jesus has obtained a more excellent public service, so that he is also the mediator of a correspondingly better covenant

Er, well, depending on your religion, God (Jehovah) and Jesus are one and the same. The Holy Trinity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Some people say, "in Jesus name, Amen" at the end of a prayer, or even at the beginning. But most Christians believe they're all one and the same and probably don't mean anything by it if they don't say "God."

The only way too the Father is through The Son. This is NOT only for salvation, as some people think. Jesus said: You pray always in my name.
This is why unbelievers prayers are NOT heard. They have not got Christ IN them for they're way too the Father.
God, can not see, or hear sin. man is sin. Period. this is why Jesus Christ is our intercessory. God, can ONLY see you and hear you through Jesus Christ.
end of story.
Hope this helps.

The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost are all the same person. Jesus is the name of his son that he sent to earth which is in fact the same person as God.
It's hard for me to explain. Just read any King James Version Bible. You can learn alot about what you're asking.

Because Jesus is our intercessor. He goes to the Father on our behalf.Kind of like a big brother.Even if you don't pray "in Jesus name" if you are sincere and believe in Jehovah I believe he hears you.

jesus tells us in the bible there is no way to father but thru him, he is the one that laid down his life so we could be given life. we pray thru jesus as the mediater between us and the father . he carries everything to the father, and when satan is standing there to accuse us, jesus steps in and tells that he has paid for it with his blood...

The idea is that you are praying TO the Father, THROUGH the Son.
An example- I need help with a math problem, and my friend Bob says, go see Sally. I would go to Sally and say, "Bob said you can help me." I wouldn't go to Sally and say, "Sally said you can help me."
Does that help?
