I find it offensive also that you can not have a Bible, as if you are a child who needs to be controlled, even when Allah has allowed freedom of conscience.
Besides, when I read the Bible, it truly strengthened my belief in Islam many folds. It taught me on the one hand that the belief in ONE GOD, which is fundamental to my belief system is shared with my Christian and Jewish brethren. On the other hand I could see that Christians agree that the ONE LORD can not be just limited to one group of people, as even Noah was not Jewish and he was close to God Almighty.
The Jewish people support the Muslim belief that a man can not be born and yet be God who is unborn. A logical disconnect. So both Christians and Jews support the Muslim position in one part of the faith. Thus Islam is comprehensive truth.
You can not discover that unless you read the Bible, which I have done many times over!! ... and God knows everytime I read it, I get new and powerful points for ISLAM!!
Quran has mentioned the Torah and the Injeel by name, and the Psalms of David by name and called them good. True changes and interpretations have made the Bible less closer perpahs to the original version (the many editions and variations of the Chrisitian Bible is the proof of this). The Hebrew Tanakh and Torah have more variations in the interpretation than the actual text, which has changed over time as well, but to a lesser extent.
Lastly, have you really been in Saudi Arabia? I have seen Church services regularly held there at the Aramco Campus in Dammam, there are movie theaters and alchohol available as well and it is really a little part of America located there.
My guess is you have not been there, and you are saying things as fact which you have read in the news or repeating what others say.
Finally, remember that America does not allow Nazis to enter or immigrate to the United States. Is that discrimination? Nations form the laws to live by them. If the United States and the West accepts all religions, but limit the influences of say fundamentalists making inroads into their society or stopping communists freely fighting elections or anarchists having a say in the political system, to me that says that the Americans have the right to hold those views and people who accept them should the ones that should enter America.
What right do you think a Muslim fundamentalist who wants to convert Christians by force to Islam have to exercise his beliefs in America in the name of freedom? If he can not exercise his beliefs, why do you feel the liberals may have the right to force their views on a conservative society. In many European countries it is a crime to deny the holocaust. Offensive as it is to deny the murder of millions, there should not be laws that ban that discussion if a nation claims to be liberal and open.
I had to be the Devil's advocate for the sake of balance!!

Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) never owned a bible, he was illiterate. He didn't copy anything from the bible I am sorry to say. Further more, are you a muslim?? If you were you would know that Christians, Jews and Muslims lived in peace in Saudi Arabia. I can't see them banning this form of literature. Unless it promoted things that are against Islam...

Because they are AFRAID of The TRUE GOD/JESUS.
Their Q even states that Jesus cheated at the cross and had a substitute die in HIS place. BLASPHEMY.
If you have a Bible-you would read THE TRUTH.
PS =be careful== That is the country where they BEHEAD an average of four people a week in the capitol cities main square.

Then you may realize that Islam is a false religion and leads you to nowhere but Hell. They can't allow you to think for yourself, especially if you are a woman. I don't think Muhammad copied from the Bible, from what I understand, he got most of his information from merchants who would pass through and tell him about the Bible and stories within it. That is why he gets a lot of the facts wrong.

The bible is online, so why do you need to possess a copy?
And, if you live in KSA and are so oppressed, how did you manage to get on the Internet in the first place?
When I lived in KSA, I knew several people who owned bibles.
Maybe you are confused and really live in Israel.
BTW, you posted an earlier question claiming you drank three beers. Where did you get the beer? KSA has a total ban on alcoholic beverages.

Do you live in Saudi Arabia? You know why, quit baiting your point of view.
You live in the US, you have the freedom to be religious or not to be religious. However I'm beginning to see less tolerance here for anything but fundamental christian beliefs and that's very frighting for a free country.

because they practice a faily strict, intolerant form of islam that does not value diversity. I tremble when i think about what would happen to america if we let the evangelical religious right take control, probably something very similar if they could

In case you see the flaws in your own religion! You can always tell a cult or false religion because they won't allow their adherents to read anything else - they like unbalance for fear of losing people and face!
