You're your own God, and you don't turn your back on yourself.

I have felt this way, I have also felt seperated from God. Sometimes I find it is just my perspecitive on the situation, other times the feeling leaves after awhile, most of the time I pray and praise God ask for help and I find it. In the Bible there are many examples of God truning His favor away from someone (Kings is full of this) in most cases if the person is repentant, asks for forgiveness and shows a true capacity for change God will turn His favor back upon the person. God might put people through this experiance to help them mature or grow, or so that they can help others. Maybe I experianced this before so I could provide you with an answer today.

God turned his back on humanity. God either hates his children or God is dead.

Imagine parents with a large family. The parents have a choice, to teach their kids how to behave decently (love and good) or just let them go wild (bad and evil).

Unfortunately, the parents who were decent are tragically killed in a car crash, and their kids are left to the forces of humanity to guide them, and sadly to say, some of their children change tact and venture off into the wild side. Their parents are dead, and can do nothing to help their children any more.

For religious believers, even if there was a God (and that’s pure speculation) your God had a choice also. To teach humans how to behave decently or just let them go wild. Looking at humanity which has gone wild, God clearly made bad choices as a parent of his so-called flock, or your God is dead – get over it

However, there will be another God. Human beings could be the next God, Adam and Eve.

Imagine the future, technology and space travel have advanced beyond all of today’s comprehension. In order to spread the human race around the universe, a couple (male and female) are transported to another planet in another solar system many millions of light years away from Earth. The planet has the necessary environment to sustain human life.

The couple are given an instruction booklet of do’s and don’ts in order to happily survive and flourish, and then the space traveller leaves for good and returns to Earth. The couple get down to business and breed.

In thousands of years to come, that new planet of humans will believe that the space traveller was God, the original couple was Adam & Eve, and that the instruction booklet was the Bible. Straight forward. Imagine where the current Bible’s Adam and Eve came from.

God doesn't turn His back on anyone. What most people don't realize is that they are on God's time, not the other way around. If something you pray about doesn't seem to get answered it just means that it isn't in Gods plan for you right now. He knows what's best for all of us, we just have to trust Him.

Yes. Though I never really bought into the whole religion thing, there was a moment when I just stopped even pretending because the God I had heard of was so clearly not there.

Now I know, all I need to know about the universe is inside. I just have to find the answers.

Yes, I have felt that way. But, feelings aren't facts and I know God would NEVER turn His back on me. Just because I don't understand what He's doing doesn't mean I don't trust Him.

Yeah, every time I have that feeling, I realize that I'm the one who's turned my back on God.

How can God turn his back on you? Figuratively speaking of course. But anyway, if your prayers are not answered most likely it's for a good reason. Like the first answerer on this page said, she prayed that her dad wouldn't go to jail but her did. Well maybe her dad deserved to go to jail for whatever her did. He needed to be disciplined so he wouldn't get into trouble again. Everything has a reason and purpose. Get over it.

God will never turn His back on you. You may feel like He has left you all alone but that is where He wants you to trust and have faith in Him.

Yes I have, but I found that I turned my back on him.

Also God steps back sometimes. Don't ever give up on God and think he is not their for you. Keep praying and stay strong and steady he is always there.
