Does the term "son of" for Jesus' lineage in Mt 1 and for Peter in Jn 21 allegorically refer to men, who "should repent"; since what God will have is all men repent (Acts 17:30; 1Timothy 2:3,4; 2Peter 3:9), including Son of Man? For when looking at "Jesus" as "Son of Man", we find in Numbers 23:19 the Son of man "should repent". And even when looking at "Jesus" as "Son of God", well, "Jesus" only ascended to the right of a God of plural and divded "heavens" on "high", whereas "Christ" of Jesus->Christ notably ascended higher: to "heaven": "higher than the heavens". And we are exhorted to mark & avoid those who cause "division" (Rom 16:17) and mind not "high" things (Rom 12:16). So are many(deceived by many) only getting "high" on the "Jesus" part of JC when they should be getting higher in the "Christ" part of JC (in him[Christ] there is no law = NO SIN = no death)?

Do they allow other houses of worship to be built, like mosques and buddhist or hindu temples? How do they deal with apostates? Can a non-Christian create a petition to allow himself to contest for the head of state against the Pope in an election?

My son followed this with the fact that God asks us to love everyone including our enemies. He said... "the Devil is our biggest enemy. Shouldn't we love him and pray for him?"

In what way does my freedom to practice my Catholic faith deny you or infringe upon your rights to not believe? How does my faith take away your freedom? Why do you feel you are called to be our savior?

An interesting article. Long, but worth the read for all. That is, if you want. You can just answer the question if you want.

As Christians we are driven to save as many people as we can from the damnation. We also believe that the world is doomed and will end with the second coming of Christ. So... how do we build our HOPE? How do we fight a loosing battle and keep our spirits high? Why don't we just "give up" and quit prolonging the inevitable return of our Christ?

I'm trying to find similarities in overlapping religious practices.
Is baptism like an initiate ritual or ceremony.
Reminds me of shapeshifters also.
I wonder if it is meant to be taken more seriously, as it seems like a New Year's Day.
A day for change, even reminds me of the symbolic phoenix.
If I could wake up tomorrow and decide to be a more cuirous determined adventurer, would things like baptism help instill certain levels of trust and a shared experience that my peers have also experienced.
Any help? Or goof references to check out. Where did it originate pre-christianity?
