You know, I'm really tired of people who just came out of a hole asking crap like this. Do you even know why this conflict started? Do you know how Hezbollah operates? Hiding behind civilians and firing at civilians?

Maybe. They help Israel so much because Israel needs all off the help they can to defeat the evil terrorist organization Hezbollah which plagued them for years. As for the war crimes claim. It is inevitable that civilians will die in war no matter the technology. It isn't Israel like intentionally attacked civilians. But Hezbollah, unlike Israel intentionally targets civilians this is a war crime. Also, you must look at how this cowardly organization uses civilians as shields. This is another crime. The only thing Israel is guilty of is agreeing to the cease fire. You mention taking the fair road and about justice. Why do you think that Israel should have to put up with an organization that doesn't even recognize them as a state? This organization's goal is to eradicate Israel from the face of the earth. The only fair and just action would be to get rid of the aggressors (Hezbollah), the ones who actually started this whole mess kidnapping two Israeli solders.

The fundamentalist christians help the Jews because they believe that the Jews will be "drawn into the bosom of Christianity" as a prelude to the final battle of Armageddon (the end of the world as we know it), and therefore is an important event in the coming of "God's" kingdom. This is so funny, because Christians have spent 2000 years persecuting Jews and Muslims have been a lot more tolerant of Jews all along, but the Jews are taking out their anger at being persecuted by Christians on Muslims and other Christians (40% Lebanese), who didn't do it, and siding with the people who persecuted them for 2000 years. Go figure. Peace.

Is that a question or an attempt at an intelligent statement?
First of all if you do not like people making remarks about your religion, you should check your facts before you imply that Christians are helping israelis to do as they please.

You know all too well what you say is not true. But if I had a bunch of mental cases who wanted to destroy my country as places like Iran and others say they do, then it should be an eye for an eye.

Stop helping radicals like hezbollah, and maybe you would have the same peace that has existed between israel and muslim countries like Egypt.

You want people to be sympathetic to your cause, but your statement shows you hate Christians and Jews. Stop trying to destroy other people, live and let live, radical muslims do not help your plight.

Do I sense a little Anti semitism here?
Actually, being a christian, I feel Israel has a right to survive...about as much, as any country founded by charter, and recognized by other countries.
Granted, some terrorist-supported countries that hold life in low regard, IE Iran, for example, don't recognize them, but it also goes to show how biased arabs can be. 2000 years of hatred is a hard thing to erase.
Christians, on the other hand, do believe in God, and considering that the muslim faith, is based on converting or killing others, while the Jewish faith, is based on respect for people, and as well, waiting for the Lord, I'd say they have a lot in common.
Also, considering that the US and Israel both share a democracy, laws, and respect for conditions of people....I'd say It's a justified respect.
As for the belief in Israel committing war crimes, does that mean the leader of Hezbollah would be tried for shooting rockets at unarmed civilians in Israel? Probably not...the coward wouldn't show his face in public...and prefers to killed women and children, by hiding behind them.
And personally, if you don't think Israel is playing fair...they haven't nuked Beruit yet, have they?

Personally I think people are suffering from "good vs evil" syndrome. As in, they _know_ hezbollah is bad, so therefore, israel must be good. Which is wrong, of course, it's possible that there's no good guys (which is the case this time).

Israel and its neighbors are all bad players to one degree or another. Israel is racist, with different laws for jews and arabs, and religious involvement in government is even worse in surrounding countries (they aren't supported by US tax dollars though).

FYI the japanese called themself "chosen people" too, and that they could never lose because of it. They lost, but they got over it, and they're a better country today (now that their constitution is modeled on the US constitution).

I am Muslim from the middle east and don't agree with you on this. not all Christians support Israel only those people who got controled by them and their media, and those people who are very lazy to find the truth

Israel got supported by US and UK governments so they can put their hands on the middle east petrol by their servant Israel who is very hungry for Muslims blood specially Arabs.

hezbollah is a terrorist group now because they want their land and prisners back fro Israel and they were firing mostly the Israeli armies and their based, but what Israel did killed thousnads of innocent people mainly were children and babies with their heaviy bombs and missils.

I think as long as there are some people like bush and his groups rolling will have more innocents killing

ok fine to agree with those people who keep saying that Israel wants to live in peace here in the middle east but Arabs doesn't then what the hell Israel doing in some of Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan's land, is it all the promised land? common people you have to look through both eyes not only one.

one last word for all secially christians if you except that one Israeli person is equal to 13 people of other religion (that's what they believe) fine but we will never axcept that till our last drop of blood and we will get our lands back no matter whatever you say about us terrorists and extrimests nad later god knows what else names you going to give us just because we want our rights and by the way we don't want your democracy you can keep it for yourselves

I fully support Hezbollah

I agree with what some of the people here have written about this. Israel is the chosen people of Adonai from eternity past, and He promised to protect it from its enemies and to destroy those who try to cause harm to it. Your question is quite biased though, I think. Israel only takes action when they are endangered. I mean, who has got rebellious groups and sends people to populated areas and use bombs to kill innocent people?

We help Israel because, not only are they God's chosen people, which they are! they had something sacred taken from them, their land that God himself promised them. the Palestinians took their land and their Holy sites. Israel is simply taking it all back!
as for killing innocent people, that is hogwash! if Palestine had left their land alone, none of this would have ever happened.

GO ISRAEL!

If you read your Bible, this chosen people are blinded by God for the time of the Gentiles, which this season is. Stop bagging Jews. God will probably hold it against you.
