Do you have to have a church ceremony to be forgiven or could you just repent and confess your sins to God in your mind and never do them again if you really mean it...?

"One reason the trend to non-belief can be welcomed is that those countries with high rates of voluntary non-belief (that is, where atheism is not forced by the regime) are also the healthiest and wealthiest countries in the world, as judged by the annual UN Human Development Reports. Cause and effect should not be confused here: it may be that people who are comfortable and secure have less need for religion, rather than that an absence of religion leads to greater happiness; but it does show that an absence of religion doesn't cause societies to break down. I don't think the Swedes are notable for their criminality."

I use the King James Version, there is an earlier English speaking version, but it is not popular and i cannot find it.
Language translations i can understand, but even i would not try to justify, the Lord works in mysterious ways, he always provides, he has certainly provided for me, I have read a couple of versions after KJV, people,we need to graduate, seek out a good KJVersion. Let us grow in Christ not remain babes in cnrist but become children in christ.

Hi everyone, I would like to know your thoughts on suicide. If a person say to someone "Go kill yourself" or "Why don't you go jump off a cliff" and that someone has committed the act. And the police finds that person dead, and they left a note saying so and so said to kill myself. Should that person be held accountable? Like if they did murder that person (first degree or second degree murder), or not at all? Looking forward to your thoughts. thanks^^

This question is for people who want Intelligent Design taught in public schools.

What is your reasons for wanting this taught in public schools?

This question is not meant to mock anyone or anyone's beliefs, just to see the reasoning behind why people want that.

For those of you who don't want it taught in public schools, can we at least wait a few minutes to get a good database of answers from the people who do, before there is any "yahoo answers response".

Maybe someone will write something that will change our minds.

Thanks.

..there were so many events that would be so miraculous that they would prove the existence of God ie. men walking on water, parting seas, healing cripples, burning bushes, ascending men etc. Surely if these events were true and were repeated in todays world they would convert millions. If the bible is to be believed then all non believers will go to hell, yet will not have had the luxury of proof before their eyes. Would God really be so unfair?

I mean, The US has said that about every country we've fought in the last 30 years...

it's the most convinent way to justify having carpet bombed a village and later finding nothing but women and children.

"Oh hey guys, look! Hezbollah hid all their women and children in this safe house during our invasion... wow, we just leveled the place... They must have been using them as human shields."

Lucifer was able to do what he wanted and try and take more power than was given to him? If he had no free will then he shouldn't have been able to do this at all.
