Apparently, he was all about proving it back then, but now he's not... just like he was all about sacrifices and war and now he's not... it's just another amongst other hypocritical mumbo jumbos.

If a person doesn't believe in God then how are they ever going to believe in the things of God. Even in those days you will see when you read your bible that many people did not believe what they saw and attempted to explain the miracles away. Look at the Isrealites themselves, the bible is full of stories where God did things to help Him and they still turned their back on Him. Seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing.
John 20:29-31
29Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
30Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may[a] believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

There are many miracles happening today, there are a number of books about it. Some I have are from Guideposts.
In the 1950's through early 1970's there were a number of large healing ministries in this country, were many thousands were healed and delivered. They include Oral Roberts, Katherine Coolman, AA Alain, Father McNutt, Jack Cole and others (I probably misspelled some names).
If you want to possible see a healing (or get one yourself) go to a number of Pentecostal and Apostolic churches in your area (every church is different so I can not say that you will find it in one of these churches, they are just more likely to have gifts of the Holy Ghost active in their services. It if possible to find the gifts in other denomination also, just not as often).

Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. John 20 : 28-29
His miracles are still happening today. I personally know several people healed of various disease/disorders. Everyone has an opportunity to know Him whether they "see" something or not. Simply open your bible and read it. He'll show himself faithful. Before you say something as ridiculous as calling God unfair, do some homework and read his word. He is the only truly "fair" judge. Don't go based on what you see with your eyes. Our natural senses are deceiving. Who can comprehend the Master and Creator of all things. You want answers? Go to Him directly, pull out your Bible, and read.

These miraculous events have occurred and I wish more people would recognize the truth in your statement. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He restored His true church through the prophet Joseph Smith in the late 1800's, angels ministered to Joseph. Peter, James and John came down from heaven and restored the Priesthood to the earth. There are 13,000,000 million that is, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. http://www.lds.org

These Bible stories are myths, just like the tales about Zeus and Hercules. It's amazing that people today, who have so much more knowledge that those of biblical times, still believe that these events occurred. I just can't bring myself to believe in talking snakes with legs, talking donkeys, people being created out of dust or any of the other stories that are in the Bible, especially those of the old testament.

Would God be so unfair?
The kind and loving Christian God sent his only son to earth to die an agonizing death on the cross with thousands of other Jews.
Jesus is returning to make sure all those vicious Jews who never recognized him spend an eternity sizzling in hell.
No one ever said the kind and loving God is fair!

I would not call it unfair, for God to have Sacrificed his own Son, so no one would need not to go to Heaven ,who accepted that Saving Grace ,
How much would you give to save the World.?
