because humans are slimy savages lets just hope some plague will come sometime soon to wipe out half the over populated population .so that at least innocent animals have half a chance to make it.

Simply because humans are capable of thinking like that. Animals do not have that capability. Obviously humans think they are better because we are born to evolve, to better ourselves. In the course of your life, you will use your experiences, what you have read, seen, heard etc...to make you a better person. A dog or cat or whatever is basically the same today as it was last year..10 years..100 years..ago. The only thing that may change an animal is in the breeding, but thats not done because the animal knew that if he bred with a certain "other", their offspring would be...better.
To say the human is bad...is only your perception, remember, everybody is only bad...from what THEY think is right...this is why we have rules/laws in society, to try and balance things where we can all live in harmony. Animals are usually not victims, many animals are bred for a reason, food, medicine,etc, An animal is only a victim when you can not put a reasonable reason of death..such as survival, self protection, or purposely bred. (medicine, research & devolpement etc) but..all for the survival of mankind..
Hundreds of thousands of animals are saved, helped and treated by humans because of what we have learnt from other animals..and humans. So you see....we help each other..We have to believe we all are good, dont be mislead by those who abuse animals..and humans! They are victims to themselves.

Does an animal slag you off behind your back? Does an animal back stab you at every opportunity it gets? Is an animal jealous of you, because you're a much better person than him? Does an animal do everything to make your life hell? Does an animal spread nasty untrue gossip about you, just because it has a boring life and is not happy? Does an animal get drunk or take drugs? Answer it. And then answer this question: do PEOPLE do it?

So sorry but I don't think humans are better than animals, give me my dog any day, she is warm, loving, always there for you, never lets you down, is always glad to see you walk through the door and never expects anything in return, unlike most of the humans I know, who are rude, cruel, downright ignorant, selfish and conceited about everything, I will never allow my dog to be hurt by anyone, she is priceless to me and better than a lot of humans.

There are many who could learn so much from animals, loyalty for one thing. The people who think that they are better than animals are often of the lowest order of human society, with the smallest brains, who couldn't learn as much as a parrot can. I think that we are meant to care for and protect vulnerable creatures, but I'm sure this isn't because we're superior to them, just that we love them.

I for one do not consider humans superior to animals, particularly dogs, they have skills we cannot possess,they are physcic for a start, they sence when you are low, and listen to all your problems, never tell tales or lies to you, they are loyal, totaly unconditional love! We should give them far more support then we do! Do you know they have souls, and one day you may well come face to face with an animal you have hurt!
Then there will be some explaining to do!!! Think of al those poor little hedgehogs!

I love animals, but in the hierarchy of life people are supreme. But look at how many of us have pets, we adore our animal friends.
