First of all...y shouldn't we be proud to be Indian?

I'm proud and happy to be an Indian because of the indian culture, religion, the respect given to each other, our family and rituals, etc.

Indians from my perspective r just great!

The way we stick together in times of trouble and sorrow such as the 7/11 in Bombay, and the way we help each other and stay together is what I admire alot from ppl of my nation.

So...wishing u guys all a Happy Independence Day!

i share the same feeling as my fellow indians that 2 be born in a country where values stand high ,a country which has been the craddle of civilization, where thousands laid down their own lives to free their motherland ,where their souls shower blessings,a nation where people live in harmony amidst umpteen number of diversities,a heaven to every indian and friendly nation 2 anyone. Well, H I D 2 U too juspreet ji,
Our past, history, cultures, traditions, customs, rites & rituals, unity in diversity etc... many more such things + a few songs like- Jaha dal dal par sone ki, saare jahan se achchha , Ei mere watan ke logo & vande mataram composed by AR rehman etc... & a few ex-leaders, politicians of our country, makes me feel proud 2 B an Indian. Otherwise, in context of current scenario, somebody's rightly phrased that 100 me se 80 beimaan, phir bhi mera Bharat mahaan. Seems true. Kar chale hum fida jano tan sathio, ab tumhare hawale watan..... How one would feel just by listening ? Like it ? Think & give yr feedback if possible.

Because of Indian's richness in culture, traditions and all other aspects, which were robbed by the Britishers. I don't think India got freedom from the British but India gave freedom and all its precious resources to them.

welll... this is a pretty tough question.... the name india itself makes me feel proud, its heritage, sovereignty, courage, the sand, the fields, the climate, the mountains, the roads (well the roads are bad and it prevents speed and major accidents)

but i shud do something so that india feels proud of me.. so am working out on that... Happy independance day...

Jai Hind....
:-)

Family values. Culture. We live together, fight every time, yet love each other. No one in this world has it or can have it.

Just to add ... there has been a saying (Hindi / Urdu)

"Kuch to khaas ki ... hasti mit ti nahi humari"
"Yuu to sadioan se raha hai ... dushman daure zamana humara"

Apologies for any missing words in the above phrase

Well what makes you proud to be where you are from? It's quite simple, it's your heritage. It's where you have lived for the early stages of your life. It's where you have grown up. It's that simple.
