ok it was hard for me to decide whether to post this here or in the math section but i noticed something interesting and wondered whether it has any deeper meaning.
In math a perfect number is a number whose factors add up the number: 6 is the first perfect number 1+2+3=6, 1*2*3=6. the next is 28.
The fibonacci sequence is a sequence that starts with two 1's and the next number is obtained by adding the last two numbers:
1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55...
Now a sequence that starts with the first 2 perfect numbers 6,28 includes an interesting number:
6 28 34 62 96 158 254 412 666.....
The reason i posted this here is for the 666 which is supposed to be the devils number yet according to the bible god created the world in 6 days. opinions please?
Atheists please dont tell me god isnt real, i already know that

Jesus is in charge of the Strong Nuclear Force that holds protons together within the nucleus of atoms - (Colossians 1:17).

Thus, when the time comes, Jesus is simply going to relax His hold on the elements (of the Periodic Table), and the protons are going to fly apart - (2 Peter 3:10,12).

I am currently working at a job that im not overly fond of. Im underpaid and not really fond of my superiors since they seem to try and rip off us employees. Anyhow my friend got me an interview at another company of which i went today. So heres my problem. The pay is great and they seem like a nice company BUT they are about an hour away from where I live and gas prices are insane so this would rack up a lot of money, also the staff is all men and I am a girl, not my main concern tho and also I have a long term/short term goal to work under my aunt who does work like this. I dont like the idea of changing jobs just like that because of all the new faces but I sure dont want to stay there forever. Any advice? No stupid remarks pls

My friends and I want to make some decals for our off-road vehicles. Some of our friends go to University of Arizona while me and others go to Arizona State University. We came up with 4 options please let me know which one you think sounds better or maybe any good suggestions. These are the options:

CatDevil United
CatDevil Union
DevilCat United
DevilCat Union

p.s. the devilcat comes from sun devils and wildcats and union or united comes from getting the two universities together. Any other GOOD suggestions?

I have been battling with a tought decision for weeks now.
I just started working for this company a few weeks ago, but a new opportunity that I was waiting for months pops up.
In my heart I should stay faithful to my current job, but I know that this new opportunity will benefit my career. If God wanted me to accept this new job, wouldn't it have come first and I wouldn't have accepted this current position?
I have prayed about this, but I still can't come to a conclusion.
I have declined the new job once, but they already bougth the plane ticket for me to meet them for an interview. I took it as a sign and met with them. I would like to work for them, but I feel really bad in leaving my current position.
I seem to be getting mixed signals. When I declined the offer, I felt really bad and thought I made a really bad mistake, but now the offer is back and I still can't make up my mind.

I want to make sure I am doing Gods will, not just following some foolish dream.

My former boss was 36 and bought a Britney spears CD, my other boss is 38 and her favorite show is South Park. People in their 30s playing video games still. Back in 1960, I can't imagine people of that age group liking things things geared to 15 year olds. Is it just me, or am I right?

It seems today everyone has an interpretation of the bible. I have been reading the bible recently and I see how people can make these different interpretations, especially with the parables.

My question is there one true interpretation of the bible? if so why was the bible written in such a way which allows for interpretation?

If you don't believe there is one true interpretation of the bible, why would Jesus come down and be killed if he didn't want to send a clear message to us? If he came to save us, why leave it up to interpretation?

Do you think children would be better off in a traditional family (Married Mom & Dad) that has a depressed mother screaming to get out of the closet & can barely take care of them OR have no mother at all?

I have a married "straight" childhood friend that has battled depression for 16 years unsucessfully. She has come to terms with the fact that the experimentation in college was not testing the boundaries, only opening new doors. She craves women, but is guilt stricken and still loves her husband. She has 2 small beautiful children (well behaved) that she screams at constantly and is extremely mean to them, even in front of me. I have never know her to be abusive. I am afraid of the emotional abuse she is inflicting on her children. Somedays, I have to go to her home to get her out of bed, and make sure the kids have eaten & dressed. It boarders on neglect and I am heartbroken. She asked me if she should just leave for the children's sake? Please help me, help her...
