My former boss was 36 and bought a Britney spears CD, my other boss is 38 and her favorite show is South Park. People in their 30s playing video games still. Back in 1960, I can't imagine people of that age group liking things things geared to 15 year olds. Is it just me, or am I right?

I am over 50 and I luv South Park. Also I play computer games. I do not believe South Park is for 15 year olds. It is for people with a sense of humor which I can see disqualifies you.

Yeah, people don't want to let go of their youth. Grown men and women waiting in line at midnight to buy the latest video game player. I am in my 30's, and do play my N64 once in a great while. I don't watch tv anymore, cause that is just junk: south park, whatever trash is on mtv, family guy, friends, it's all crap, but people love to watch it.

I would say the bigger crisis is that these same 30 somethings are raising kids, and that encourages a spiral into oblivion.

Immature parents raising immature kids, who in turn have their own children, it just gets worse.

However, there are still a lot of great parents out there, and we need to encourage that, and applaud that, and hope that we can make a difference!

I can't disagree, people's interests seem different from when I was growing up. But who is to say it's "wrong" for a 50 year old to play video games? I don't care for Britney Spears and so wouldn't buy her CD's....but you must admit Homer Simpson at home alone, peeing with the door open and wearing his underpants...now that's funny.

Try looking at it from a different angle. In 1960, teenagers did not have the purchasing power that they do now.

You are very right!...Nowadays we have everything "served in a plate of gold" so people doesn't have to use their brains to develope as good human beings. In fact...i think most of the society looks for a way out of reality...they are so depressed with their real lives that they prefer to stay in their "childhood"
