I'm from the US and am really angry. Is it a safety issue? Or would a proper 4th of July fireworks display be too expensive? There must be an answer.

Ok, this is something I've been putting some thought on, any lesbians care to give me some ideas or advise. Ok, say me and my GF would to stay together and later on marry, now obviously we can't have sex and get pregnant, but what would be some alternatives to having kids. Would adoption be a good choice as to create a family, or artificial insimination? Not that I'm worried about it now, but it's something that has crossed my mind.

How can it be that in the year 2006, the awesome scientific age we live in, can people still have such dark age views, like believing in supernatural beings???? It blows my mind. I just can't believe so many people were duped into a story so full of holes?? WOW! How did it happen? It must be the biggest scam of all time.

I've read quite a bit of the Bible, but I seem to remember the only unforgivable sin being blasphemy. Jesus died for all of my sins, not just the ones I have committed, but for every sin I am every going to commit. I can't imagine that telling someone at the end of their rope, wanting to commit suicide, that they are going to go to hell when the trigger is pulled...I just can't seem to imagine that that would help them out in that situation.

Imagine this: I just committed some random sin, and then I die immediately afterwards. I fail to understand how this is different than had I committed suicide in the midst of some bad spot in my life. Of course, this is assuming that "I" am saved (which I am).

What does Umkhonto we Sizwe literally mean?

This was the armed resistance wing of the ANC and SACP pre-apartheid.

I heard it was Spear of the Nation, just wanted to be certain.

Does the first amendment protect the rights of those Christian churches to marry people of the same gender?

Does this fact alone coupled with the first amendment completely decimiate the anti-gay marriage movement in America?

I ask again, has the sky falled in any nation or state where there is same sex marriage (or civil union)?

If the sky hasn't fallen, why hasn't it fallen?

In Genesis chapter 18 the sky reigned with fire from the God because of the wickedness of Sodom.
Did that really happen, or is that just a made up lie to try and control people?

Is this really about love of God and love of the Bible and love of a passage that says homosexuals won't get into heaven (lev 18:22, romans 1:24-27, 1 corinthians 6:9, rev 15:22); or is it about bigotry?

Does anything embarras the religious right more than this? Do they feel any shame?

Are we just driven by a need to be right, or a need to convert people?

When Christians say that gay marriage should be illegal due to their religious beliefs and quotes from the Bible, they are imposing their religion on the entire nation. This takes Freedom of Religion away from others.

How?

Simple - because not everyone in the nation is the same religion. Freedom of Religion is one of the main foundations of our country. If the Church had a decision in law making, it would impose that specific religion on the entire nation - that is unconstitutional.

(Yes I already posted this but in a different catagory!!)

So my sister watched V for Vendetta and claimed that she did not like it at all because it was "blatently anti-christian". She said it promotes Anarchy and she did not agree with it at all and she and her boyfriend could not watch it. I want to know what some other Christians think. I'm not Christian, I don't claim any religion at all but I know a good deal about it and most other religions (I've made a point to study them to find my own). So I see it as a warning to not allow our government to gain too much control.

It's not about promoting anarchy, it's about promoting freedom of speech and beliefs, and to not allow ourself to be put so far under the microscope. Maybe I'm wrong, but whether or not she likes it, in school her daughter will read "A Brave New World" "Farenheit 451" and "Anthem".....they are all the same thing. I really think she just read too far into it!
