I'm a christian and i saw V for Vendetta.I liked the movie and if I'm right it wasn't about the christian faith it was about government using and corrupting the church to bring across there on agenda.Nothing that they did was christ like,so please dint judge other Christians off of this movie. The main point of the movie was what would you do if your government manipulated every aspect of your life would you fight for the truth or would you accept the status Que

People who are christian enjoy being controlled. They misunderstand the concept of anarchism as being chaos.
By the way, the word anarchy has come to be used in that sense (chaos) as propaganda from the ruling elit who are afraid of the idea. Anarchy is greek and literally means NO LEADER. Simply that.
People like your sister have been duped into believing that they are insignificant and that they can't think for themselves. That they need someone above them telling them how to run their lives.
Sadly this scam is being perpetrated on the entire world population through politics, religion, money, media, etc.
The only way to overcome this scam is if people liberate themselves from these prisons without walls.
Free your mind.

I'm not a Christian, so I can't comment on that, but I think the movie was merely showing how, by allowing one extreme to rule the masses, government fails to address the needs of other groups.
It clearly takes religion to an extreme and it is the extreme, not the religion, that is considered bad. If you choose to consider it anti-Christian, it is a good movie to watch to see an alternate view of the religion and I think it is important to see that there are different perspectives on your religion.

I don't think the politics of it were anti-christian. I think the only thing that made the Christian in me wince was all the cussing, violence, etc. But those were more elements of the script, and not the big idea of it all. (I've read Farenheit 451 and Anthem - I liked 'em both)

Honestly, in my opinion I dont think that any religious group of affiliate should have an opinion when it comes to the general public like movies, court houses' or anything else that is not in their Chruch or Home. Because they want to turn everything asa shot against them even when there is no way in HELL that it could be.

Authentic Christians have a curious position on revenge or vendettas. In short, we aren't allowed to do it. This doesn't mean that we can't fight in a war or be in the military or law enforcement. It means that we aren't supposed to willfully seek the destruction and demise of another.
Here is a verse that says it in a nutshell. Romans 12:19
"Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord."
Now, I've seen Jesus deal with some of my enemies. He does a much more thorough job on them than I ever could and in ways that would be impossible for me.
Is He mean? No, it not from meanness, it' s more like what your Mom would do, if she were all powerful and could do anything, to anyone who molested or raped you. It's more like wo would dare to treat His beloved that way. Bit God does it with surgical precision and perfection. No innocent parties are hurt.
So that is how the world's view o power differs from the Christian's view. The world says, Be strong, stand up for your rights and kill anyone who messed with you. God demonstrated, ". . . He was crucified in weakness, yet He goes on living by the power of God. And though we too are weak in Him [as He was humanly weak], yet in dealing with you [we shall show ourselves] alive and strong in [fellowship with] Him by the power of God." (2 Corinthians 13:4 (Amplified Bible))
That's why your sister and her boyfriend appear to be wimps. As a non-believer, it appears foolish to you. But would you prefer to apparently do nothing and let God perform a surgical strike, or to go off in rage and furry while injuring people who have nothing to do with the situation? Your choice, daily.

It didn't make christianity look real good, but it was not christianity that made things evil, it was the one man who was in control, using the word of God to do evil. We've had that throughout history, one man distorting the word of God to do evil. Just look at the crusades and the inquisition.

It may not support Christian views, but the movie is certainly not anti-Christian.
"V for Vendetta" does not promote anarchy, it promotes terrorism.

What does she think of what is going on in the Middle East right now? Tell her to get her head out from under the asparagus box before it turns white and falls off...
Christ was crucified because IT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN to for fill the covenant. We don't have to contribute to this kind of thing by glamorizing it through the media or Hollywood but to bury your head and not face it, chose not to look at our not so distant future as a christian... is not very intelligent. We have to be aware. God will use all of these situations to the correct ends.
The means are frightening but is she the one who would fall asleep while supposed to be staying up with Jesus in the garden while He prayed. "Could you not tarry with me but one hour?"
