I'm not convinced that God changed.
Are we just driven by a need to be right, or a need to convert people?

I think some of you think God changed.
Others seem to have a need to be right.
Some get hung up on Islam.
I'm talking about God here. Tell me about God.

I am well aware of what Jesus did. Tell me about God as "the father." Yes, I know about the trinity. Do not get confused by time. Please.

God doesn't change. He has a Plan that is being executed in various parts. He promised Adam and Eve a Redeemer. In fact, 'Cain' means 'it is him', because Eve hoped that the redemption story would be REAL short. Obviously, she was wrong. Salvation came THROUGH the Jew, because God found favor with Abraham's faith. God instituted the sacrificial system when He killed animals to provide clothing for A&E. Then, through Moses, He set up a 'credit' system to provide for people before Jesus came on the scene. The Messianic Line was established through King David, and things had to be in place for Jesus' Mission to be completed successfully.
As to Islam, I can't really say it's got much to do with God's Plan. Other than the possibility of being the false church of Revelations...

You're right that God has never changed.
God's covenant with Abraham was the birth of Judaism. Christians see Christ's death and resurrection not as the end of Judaism, but as the fulfilment of it. The decision of the Jews to reject Christ is the reason that Judaism and Christianity exist separately; in a sense there are now two Judaisms.
I can't help you with Islam, because I don't believe in it.

God is unchangeable and Islam is not even in the picture. Abraham is the father of the Jewish people. Christianity, the Gentiles, have received the Abrahamic promise through the blood of Jesus because the Jews have rejected Jesus as the Messiah. There are Jews that have been saved and there will be Jew that will be saved.

First of all I do not believe in the salvation that Islam teaches.
However when considering Judaism and Christianity, God didn't change, they are just two different Phases in the same plan. The Messiah was foretold in the Old Testament many times.
The difference between Judaism and Christianity is Christians believe Jesus was the Messiah and Jews believe the Messiah hasn't come yet.

Abraham had two sons, one by Haggai and one by Sarah. One was Ishmael and one was Issac. Abraham and Sarah was both old. They did not believe that Sarah was to have a child so she gave her handmaiden to Abraham to produce a child. Which displeased God. The two Haggai and Ishmael was sent from the camp of Abraham and Issac was born by Sarah. Issac had two sons Esau and Jacob. Jacob grew up. If you know your Bible you know what happened with Jacob. Israel had 12 sons. Out of the 12 they produced thus the Israelis. God made a covenant with Israel. Somewhere they started to be known as Jews. Thus Judaism. The Old Testament prophets foretold of the coming of Jesus. They explained in detail about Jesus. His name is Jesus the Christ. Thus through the Greek Christos became known as Christians. Those who followed the teachings of Jesus Christ, we believe He is the one the prophets said was coming. So no we do not need to be right or need to convert people but we as Christians do not want you to point to us in that day and say why didn't you tell me if you knew?

The answer is simple: each religion's texts were written by different people. The evidence that humans wrote the texts is shown by comparing oild versions of scriptures to newer ones and noting the changes. If humans wrote the texts and each religion is from a different century, of course the views will change.
However, you are right about the need to be right. After all, why would you want to join a religion that doubts its authenticity if another religion is convinced of its corectness.

Islam is a religion reinforced by our worlds governments because people are subject to other people. Think about it, Right now people are subject only to God, but with islamic rule people return to being subject to one another. What a perfect way to subservitize the world, especially if your wanting to control others. Communism doesn't work, cotholism is faltering and christians in general are lost in internal disagreements. With islamic rule, death is the punishment for everything, that is, you disagree with the leader, you die. Simple revenge.

In Judaism, God redeemed (saved) us from slavery in Egypt, and we received Revelation at Sinai including the 613 commandments God demanded from His people, Israel. (Other nations are only bound by the seven Noahide laws.)
We (all peoples) are "forgiven" whenever we ask -- if we have previously asked for and received forgiveness from the injured party, made amends, and have demonstrated that we will not sin again.
From what I understand of Christianity, one must believe in Jesus in order to be saved, and it is not necessary to receive forgiveness from the injured party. Some Christians seem to believe that one must believe in Jesus in order to go to heaven, but others are not so sure about that.

God's way has always been the same just as God has been the same. "The just shall live by faith." And "Abraham believed God and accounted it unto him as righteousness." Jesus said that to do the will of the Father "was to believe on the One whom He sent" and to repent and believe the gospel. Finally The apostle Paul says " Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Everything is as it always was. People are either mistaken, misinformed or diabolically influenced to claimed any other way than through faith in Christ and what He did on the cross, bearing our sin and penalty.

This is another perspective on the changes:
God does not change nor he changed and will not change.
But humans do.
Human mind in the beginning till the end changed
Like a child to an adult
We began to develop our mind and become clearer and sharper each day
You can't teach a child sophisticated things when he/she is just a todler (unless born genius... but how many genious were born each day?)
We may have the same rationale thinking from the beginning but as i said earlier we are developing.. so does the teaching... it is not changing but developing and enhancing
Like math, you learn the 2x2 through example and assistance when you were kid in order to know that it equals to 4
But when you are grown up you have already understand that 2x2 is four and you are no longer required to really think it hardly. but you are learned and take short-cut answers.... that is what i think....
