Quote: "The Israelis are NOT bombing Lebanon. It is faulty construction that causes their houses to collapse!"

try looking at it from either angle, Hamas not shooting rockets, it's faulty construction!

It explains how STUPID some (not all or even most) Americans are. Apparently 30% of Americans do not even know what year the 9-11 attacks occured!!! yet they believe the ridiculous conspiracy theory that is projected as the official version of events.

I was in New York on holidays a few weeks ago, and one of the first things people(especially kids and teens) would ask me, when I told them I'm from Africa, was if wild animals like lions and hippos and elephants roamed the streets freely! I mean...COME ON!
Other things were:
Do you live in a tree house?
What are the cities like?
Can you have a pet cheetah in your flat(apartment in american english!)?
Do you bath in the rivers?
Do you people have campfires like everynight?
Bla bla bla....

The worst is when they ask you if you know a so-and-so who lives in senegal!!! Or another so-and-so who lives in a brick house in egypt!
What do american kids learn at school about Africa?? I honestly wonder...

if you study the bible, there is a big gap when Jesus seems to dissapear for half of his life, then he shows up as an adult and gets cricified.
I think he was appearing in other places around the world, perhaps as Budda, or Krishna or other historical religious figures. what do you think?

Let's say you're dating a same-sex person for a while, and you've shared experiences, are attracted and excllusive with each other. Then say that you want to take on unsafe sex, but he/she doesn't want to until you get an AIDS test. Does this offend you because it's a sign that he doesn't trust you or do you feel appreciative because it means he is responsible?

It is common today to drop the word theory when reading or discussing evolution. To an evolutionist, can you admit it is a theory? Science stands seperate from evolution because it is fact. Evolution is not fact, it is one of many theorys(like intelligent design). Can you simply acknowledge that it is an attempt to explain our origins? I realize you might say God believers should do the same, but evolution is not a religion, right?

The Mother of all Terrorists
To Be Taken Quite Literally!
For those of you who want "FACTS" and "FIGURES" and have the intellect to judge 'GOOD' from 'EVIL' and the courage to know and say out the TRUTH....for the rest you should stop here!

Ever since the United States Army massacred 300 Lakotas in 1890, American forces have intervened elsewhere around the globe 100 times. Indeed the United States has sent troops abroad or militarily struck other countries' territory 216 times since independence from Britain. Since 1945 the United States has intervened in more than 20 countries throughout the world.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself to others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all it's sham drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

The modern denominations of the protestant church are a result of the reformation. IOW, they split from the Catholic Church. That said, why do most protestants deny that Catholics are Christian and why if they have such disdain for Catholics were they so pleased with passion by Gibson? Let us see how long it takes them to remove this question.
