Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
17:7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
17:8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
17:9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
17:10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
The message is to complete the duty given:
mathew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
God cannot increase your faith by letting you sit idle & work instead of you nor can God change his rules for anyone. The diference is of the followers of the knowledge of Good or evil. Choice is all yours.

My answer may not sound serious but it really is. Reading Yahoo Answers has really got me into the bible a lot more and it has made me get on my knees in prayer a little more often. I had no idea that there were so many lost people.

As a non-believer, I'm honestly interested in knowing why you feel you want to "increase" your faith. Are there degrees of belief, like, you have faith in God but not 100%? Seems to me its an all or nothing thing, isn't it? I'm not trying to be snotty, I'm just trying to understand what it is you're trying to do and why you feel you need to do it.

Surround yourself with the people of your same belief, they will inspire you to do good works, and make the scripture come alive in your life. Ask God to allow you to hear his word more clear and to use you as a vessel to fullfill your destiny.. WHICH is discipleship.. bless ya
