Religious people who pray are a funny group. If they pray for something and it happens they say "God answered my prayer". If they pray and it doesn't happen, they say "it was God's will and meant to be". It's so funny to me. Have you ever thought that what you are praying for just might happen anyway? If God doesn't listen half the time anyway, they why pray? Just flip a coin it's easier.

Okay so what do you think would happen if all car companies said, "We will stop producing cars because of global warming". Although its not gonna happen I think its something to think about. Global warming is getting out of control, and its gonna take something major to stir the pot into a change. We need some kind of alternative. We need to stand up for a change, our future children and grandchildrens lives are at stake. What should we do?

I'm an agnostic, not trying to convert anyone, just a question,

It has been said by many religious people that we are to have faith in God even thou there is no empirical evidence of God, and that if God wanted to give the world empirical evidence he would but what God wants is people who believe in him just based on faith.

So my question is, without any empirical evidence of God, how do we know that God wants us to have faith in God without any empirical evidence?

How can you know God wants you to have faith in God without any empirical evidence, without any empirical evidence to back up that that would be what God would want?

It would just seem to me like we humans are missing something, a MADE BY GOD 4006 BC cornerstone somewhere.

Under Christian doctrine:

Are Christians given a free pass and able to sin all they want for their entire lives?

If not, what must be done to atone or repent for sin?

If you have sinned, please explain how you repented.

If you have not sinned, please so state.

Thanks.

Free will?

Could you will yourself to believe something that didn't make sense to you?

Let's say you're right and I'm wrong.

Then I will be punished because not for my actions, but for faulty reasoning?

I just don't get it.

What am I missing?

but how about all of the people that "accept" Christ as God and don't follow his teachings, are they still Christians? I would think that they would not be. Wouldn't one who trys to live by the principles taught by Christ be more of a Christian than one who "accepts" Christ as God and doesn't?

He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Deuteronomy 8:3
