Is it fair that you have to ask a potential myth for a favor. Stand up for yourself and find a way to get whatever it is you are seeking. Don't be putting it off on God (if there is one). This is one of those questions about taking PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY...you are responsible for your actions and looking to some higher power to give/grant you some favor isn't going to change that. Pick yourself up and look for ways to get the favor on your own. PEACE!

You can ask God for anything you want, but don't take the Bible passage "Ask and it shall be added unto you" out of context. God answers all prayers, but remember sometimes the answer is "No." A lot depends on what you are asking for. I could ask God for a million dollars, and I'm betting He would decide not to give it to me. On the other hand, I could ask for a greater understanding of His word, and I'm betting He would give it to me, assuming I do my part by reading the Bible. Whatever it is you're after, there's no harm in asking God for it. He will decide whether you should have what you have asked for.

Is it fair to ask God for anything? Most Christians believe that God has "a plan." Do you really believe that God could or should alter this divine plan just because you want something. Either what you want is part of the plan or it is not. Asking for it will not make any difference.

If it's something you really need, then it's okay to ask.

None of us really "deserves" to go to Heaven, but I have no doubt that many people go there. It's okay to pray for that, even though we don't deserve it -- which means it's okay to pray for other "favors" as well.

But again, only if it's something you really need -- asking for a winning lottery ticket or a new Benz doesn't count.

What man deserves life? That one has the ability to walk is totally undeserved.
To ask for bread and water is to ask for that, that you do not deserve!

Through Christ, and the Faith in him do you not deserve the whole of the earth?

No human DESERVES favours from God but...

He LOVES us unconditionally! and that is why he wants us to prosper by giving us things we ask for (not for own personal gain) but by gaining knowledge and wisdom to futher His kingdom so we can help save people!

Sometimes God gives us 'miracles' because we do the righteous things!

So...

If you want this - you have to do the things that God asks of us (and the one's outside of the ten commandmends, like spreading the word, testifying, tithing etc)

We should go on performing our duties without thinking about any favor because we will get it if we actually deserve.
